I'm organizing a 5-day trip to Las Vegas for next summer. I'm looking at mid to late June or early July.
To be perfectly frank, I don't know Vegas very well, so I need help planning this shindig. I'm looking into getting a room for myself at Harrah's on the strip. Members of my family will be there, and it seems that a certain creator of a certain Ubersite is also interested in joining us.
This post is just to see who's interested in either coming, or simply just helping me plan everything out.

See if there is someone in the military and ask for a serviceman's discount. For example, I know that Method's Mom charge's military guys half price. That's a big savings when one of the aircraft carriers visits New York.

We went to the Luxor when we went a few years ago. I can't remember much about it except that it has the worlds largest atrium and you can see the light on the top from the moon. this was possibly related to the fact that they bring you free drinks all day and night. I was about 27 when we went but got constantly asked for ID.
I recommend everyone goes to enhance their viewing of CSI (you can spot the places you have been to in real life)

Also, the Hooters hotel isn't on the strip but it's close enough that it doesn't matter much, but didn't really appear to have anything other than rooms and a hooters restaurant.

hard rock has a swim-up bar but it's not on the strip. but it's pretty cool and isn't as expensive as the posh places

Harrah's has a couple good party spots in it but you should investigate other hotels.
The Flamingo was nice because of the outdoor areas for people to gather and relax by the pool.
The Mirage, I remember ending up there because of the nightclub. It also has a nice outdoor area.
Think about that sorta thing.
