I was wondering what you guys would make of a certain situation, that I think could arise commonly soon:
It's pretty normal these days for one's girlfriend to send them naked pictures over the net. I suppose they did similar things in the past; little glimpses and teases, or... naked... portrait posing... I don't know.
Anyways, so for an average teenage guy, by the time you reach, say, twenty-five, you've had more than one girlfriend. Maybe you've had ten, or fifteen. You've loved them, known them intimately and personally, and yeah, they've sent you pictures of themselves naked.
So, to you, you've got special, meaningful pictures of your former lovers, but legally, wouldn't you be in possession of child pornography? (Assuming that some of these girls were under eighteen when you dated)
Is there some loophole in the law for this, or are we supposed to delete photos of our exes as soon as we turn eighteen? Seems like some stupid black and white shit.

Yeah, the things that make the most sense to me are:
a) You wouldn't get in trouble at any age if she gave the pictures to you / took them of herself / whatever.
b) It is illegal as soon as you turn 18 (or whatever the age of majority is where you live) to have pictures of a minor.
b) is pretty draconian though, I think.

a) consensual is not always legal if it was the word "statutory" wouldn't be needed ever.
b) it is illegal in some places even if you are a minor as well as evidence in some cases, specifically one in florida where a teenage boy had pictures of his teenage girlfriend, both minors, completely consensual.
c) not relevant to legality.

say you fucked a girl when you were 15. Maybe she was 14. As an adult, you remember it. Is she still hot in your memories? I remember being pretty attracted to girls when I was in junior high. In my memories, they're still attractive, but I hardly think of them as kids. I still remember the first sex dream I had, and that was when I was in 5th grade. It's a picture of a naked fifteen or sixteen year old. that's considered child pornography. when you are a kid and have it you don't get in trouble. As an adult, still holding on to the pics, you can be charged with it.

We actually had an assembly on this in school. In my area a year or two ago, a kid got arrested for having a naked picture of a girlfriend of his. He wouldn't have had too much trouble, but her dad found out and pressed the charges, and he was charged with child pornography.
Just be careful. If they're photographs, keep them hidden somewhere, if they're digital, keep them on a seperate hard drive or flash stick or hide them in a private account somewhere.
