I got a phone call a few days ago. It started with, "This is DETECTIVE" so and so "from" didn't hear the rest. I instantly thought, as my adrenaline surged, "Oh my G_D. They have the wrong guy and I am going to get F*&(ed."
He just wanted money. I gave some lame excuse about not having any. He asked about if I had any buddies on the force. He was saying the money was for supplies, like bullet proof vests.
As I turned this over in my head for the next few days, I would like to have said, "How about when you guys are out of money and the office is in shambles and not functioning, I will come by and make a report."
It's just that in my whole life every every police interaction, except one, has been negative. I even found a stolen car once and caught two guys. I won't forget the distaste I saw in his face when I said, "Good job" and tried to shake his hand. I have been talked to rudly and put down twice. I am just some 5'7" white guy with good manners and education.
In fact, here in South Phoenix, in my neighborhood, I have never ever seen a cop patrolling it in 2 years! I have seen 4 calls to stolen cars and burglary, after the fact. It's very profitable to be a drug dealer around here, that's for sure, as you see all tinted window 50 thousand dollar cars going to the crack homes.
The one guy was nice once when I had a hit and run. Every other time, they don't help or talk down and rudely to me.
Oh, when you see the videos of the guys getting tazed when the subjects don't comply. There the cops are totally justified and the subjects are wrong and stupid. It's kinda funny to see those stupid dumb people. Whe the cop says "stop" or whatever, you should listen.
Anyone else think that?

Strange post. Whereabouts in South Phoenix? I had a job there a couple years ago and didn't see any white folks except for the cops. Based on a small sample, I learned that crack heads are funny, too.
