Care to bet what is to stop a judge from ordering that a child not be allowed access to the internet as part of a probation agreement? Exactly nothing.
Now let's go beyond kids and their behaviors. How about state Attorney Generals suing myspace because someone on the sexual predator list is using their site and could conceivably get in contact with a child? Not that they actively ARE, but because they COULD? How about the fact that many packets of data on the internet (including every email that touches any part of AT&T's network) is actively scanned by the NSA, courtesy of AT&T's blackrooms along the backbones?
