I have this dream...
Maybe it's not a dream - maybe it's a hallucination. It exists solely in my mind, whatever it is. It's of me, presiding over several hundred people crowded onto a bouncing dance floor - my fist is raised high above my head and the sick depths of my imagination pound out from the speakers below. The people sweat and drink and smoke and fuck to it.
I'm told that such visions are a sure sign of bipolar disorder - of believing that you're somehow destined for fantastic things... is a no-no. So I look over my shoulder slyly - making sure no one sees me having this dream of mine. For it would be interpreted as self-centered. But it's not

It's both masturbatory and reach-aroundish. I want people to dance. I want to make people dance.
Is that wrong?

I am using Apple's Logic Studio 8 to create, and two turntables to mix it all together.
If you're looking to start out doing something similar, I would suggest Garageband, Fruity Loops or Reason.

I'm quite content with Cubase, actually. Just curious what you were using. Tried Fruity Loops once...couldn't stand it.

Actualy i'm talking crap there.. I asumed most of that software doesn't contain wave editors and such. But i know that at least fruity loops has it. Where's the delete-button on this dinosaur forum? <weeps>

Your dream sounds like the disco/orgy/sweatfest from the second or third Matrix movie. Whichever one it was with everyone dancing in their underground kingdom with tasteless oatmeal in their bellies and no shoes on their feet.
I'm going to start referring to actors by movies they were in. I've just decided. No names or anything, just films. So in this case that disco/orgy/sweatfest took place while Constantine and Memento were getting it on off in some far corner of the underground kingdom. This, of course, was minutes after Romeo & Juliet returned home and almost called aloud for his wife's pussy. Thankfully Assault on Precinct 13 was there to yell at everyone and encourage them in their disco-orgy ways.
Anyway I think you probably saw it on cable and dreamed the same thing. Underground kingdom people will fuck to anything if you play it loud enough. Even Meat Beat Manifesto or Rob Dougan.
