First of all: I'm not a photographer so I don't need unwanted advice on what settings to use, which light aperture I should have used, which feature I shouldn't have used, or any of that other garbage you are going to offer. I only accept compliments on my stupendous ability to capture the art that nature brings. That being said...
I go to this place when I'm hungover. Who goes hiking when they are hungover? This guy. Why? These falls are fed by a natural spring and the water is delicious. By the time I reach the summit I have cured my hangover, no joke. The water is so pure, so tasty and it only gets better the higher you go. If you don't mind getting wet this place is loads of fun, and quite hard to hike. If I had to guess, by the time you reach the top fall you may have scaled 2000 vertical feet, give or take a guesstimated number that I don't give a shit about.
This place is a haven for all the nature around it. Trees are lush, the vegetation thrives and animals-a-plethora are all around this gem on the mountains. I live about 30 minutes away from this place and will return as often as I can. Perhaps when it's really cold and icy, just after a snowstorm, I will be a complete moron and try to traverse the already dangerous trails to get some really cool winter shots for you. I've seen pictures of icicles hanging 50+ feet where water just stops in time from being frozen. I find that a pretty unique thought.
If you take a girl, there's all kinds of nice spots to dip off the main trail and rap---give her the best 30 seco--minutes of her life, or vice versa if you are the proud owner of a vagina. I like nothing more than railing a $30 shiatsu massage whore while she's grabbing a tree and I'm rubbing birch bark on my taint. That being said...enjoy!

very cool place. a few overexposed shots but waterfalls are a bitch sometimes. btw a pool cannot be stagnant if it's part of a flowing stream/creek/river. just sayin

Yeah, I missed you at The Shack last night, toots. I was plum fucked up. I'll check out the gorge some time...been hearing about it but haven't been there yet. There's some place close to a Beltsville Lake I hear about too. I've seen teenager jumping off the bridge and was planning on doing it myself, except I think I'm too old. Besides, with the quarries around my house, that bridge is chicken shit.

Been there dozens, if not hundreds of times.
It was a lot nicer there 10-15 years ago before it was "discovered" by the tourists from NY/NJ.
Back in high school, we used to jump off of the bridge over the river.
Check out Lehigh Gorge sometime. It's about 10 miles upriver.
