We always assume it won't happen to us. It won't happen to our friends, our family.
Where do we get off thinking we're superior?
So ignorant. So simple.
The first time wasn't a wake up call, neither was the fiending.
When did it register?
I honestly, don't know. I wish I could remember. So, I could go back and say THIS is it, this
is the point of no return. You go back now, or you never go back.
Some of us aren't so lucky.
Some of us are too fucked up to even see that point, to know that light is red.
It came as such a shock, when it should have been well expected.
Irony.
Something you know so much about, can turn on you so fast.
It's like a movie you've seen over and over, yet there is always something you miss, something
that wasn't always there.
Maybe he saw that light turn red. He didn't want to slow down, he didn't want to stop.
Life is so short, hello can be your last goodbye.
The phone rings, heart skips countless beats, tears run, hands are numb.
Have you ever been so scared you couldn't move? Not for anything? Temporary paralysis.
3 years have passed. I ignored it for so long, bursting into tears at random.
A year later, things are good. I take control of my life.
I leave this place. Time for a change.

1 accidental shooting
2 murders
6 in car accidents
1 from aids
1 from an asthma attack
1 because of an HMO
and more OD's than i can count on both hands

No no.. *I'm* not contemplating suicide, by any means. I enjoy life.
The story was about a fucked up time in my life.. when I made it a point to get
away from all the bad things that were going on around me. I lost 3 friends in
one year, and when I thought everything was okay.. I came back home.. and another
friend had committed suicide. I've never thought of killing myself, nor have I ever
done heroin.

i dont think youve found sanity yet.
no, its not crouching behind your monitor. no, its not even lurking under the 'page up' button on your keyboard (nice try though). to be honest im not sure where you find sanity, but if i knew, and we were playing that "warmer means closer, and colder means not closer" game, id be saying "cryogenic" at this point.
