I've stayed at Gaylord Palms before. It is quite the resort, and expensive as fuck if I remember correctly. Something like $300/night. Waste of money, however, at the Old Hickory Smokehouse restaurant I had the best cut of meat ever. It was American Buffalo. At the pirate-ship-restaurant I had some pretty damn good seafood. I got a terrible sunburn as well. It wasn't the best time I ever had, but the fucking food was amazing.

My Lovely Wife and I (MLWaI) live in Florida because it's warm enough to swim and ride motorcycles and her horse (she rides the horse, I don't) all year here. There are beaches and wildlife and lots of things to do. The ground is easy to garden and practically everything grows. It's still reasonably affordable to buy land and build a house here, and there's no State income tax. I am not over 70, but there is sme grey in my pony tail. I am not retired but I am fortunate enough to be able to value leisure time above a paycheck. I am a Republican because I'm over 40 and have a positive net worth, still earn taxable income, and am neither a philanthropist nor a fool.

I think I would have rather spent Christmas alone, eating canned foods at a Salvation Army Shelter with homeless drug addicts, than go to fucking Disneyworld for Xmas.

Me too. Mauschwitz sucks. But my neices were dying to go and I like my neices more than I hate crowds of tourbots, so we went to Disney. The joy on their faces during the Mission: Space, Space Mountain, and Buzz Lightyear rides was worth the crush of touridiots.
