The race for the democratic nomination is looking actually mildly interesting.

I wasn't inferring that one must be President to qualify to be President. By US law, any US-born US Citizen over the age of 35 years can be leader of the Free World. I meant that there is a minimum level of leadership experience and political experience that will be required to be put in play when interacting with other world leaders. She does not have that experience.
One gets experience in leadership by leading. Leading a business, an electorate, a Girl Scout troop, anything. Leading, that is, as opposed to being associated with success only by proximity as she has done. One gets experience in politics by being a politician and working in the political area. A few years in the Senate (which she was really unqualified to serve but was allowed to thanks to the idiots in New York that elected her) and the crap she did as Missus President is not enough to provide her the expertise to deal with seasoned politicians on the World level. Perhaps in 10 years or so, with a bunch more time in Washington and a few committee leadership stints under her belt I'd accept that she would be qualified to run. As it stands today, though, her background and experience are in my opinion not sufficient to make her Presidential material.

I have decided that I will buy property in Mexico. A smallish house in one of those hotel/residence compounds in the Yucatan. Not on the water but close enough to ride a bike to it. Not in Playa del Carmen proper but just up the road. I'll have some deck chairs and intermittently-supplied electricity and margaritas all ready. And I'll spend quite a lot of time there over the next few years if Americans turn out to be so utterly foolish as to elect that Clinton person as President.
