Hello ubersiters I am new here though have been reading the site for several months now. I have noticed the religious overtones to many of the messages posted here along with the obvious stories about drunken debacles and sexual encounters along with posting pictures of "badass car's" .

Seeing though there are a few of you who have left more institutional religions for a different life which you are now pondering whether is right or not maybe you could all form a new religion /cult type thing to embrace all ubersiters (though I believe vetting some member might not be a bad idea).

You could come up with some commandments/constitution, obviously you will have to appoint a leader but seeing though this is Bart's site he might be a prime contender.

A guy in England started a cult style group a little while ago which involves doing good deeds for old people ( why you ask, good question I have no idea) he started it by putting an advertisement in the paper asking people to send in picture of themselves to him to join the organisation and thousands of people did. Only this poor fool is not using his newly given cult leader status to it's fullest and as far as I know has no radical plans to do anything decent with it apart from cheer up old people by buying them ice cream on hot days. However a recent story emerged regarding this group which I will have to share as it made me laugh .

A couple who had joined the cheer up old people cult were travelling on back road to Wales in England when they came across an old man by the side of the road with a seemingly broken down car. Now being the good folks there were they stopped the car and asked the man if they could be of any assistance, the old proceeded to tell them that his car had broken down and he was on the way to his wives funeral in Bristol but now he was not going to make it there because of the Car. No worries said the couple and they quickly scrambled together some money for the old man to get the train down to Bristol and back, they couple also offered to drive the man to the nearest station and arrange for a breakdown company to be called to tow his car home at their expense and also paid for a meal in a café along the way to the station. When they couple had got back home they decided to tell the "help old people community" on the net about there good deeds. A Police man in Wales who was a member of the site saw the message and called the couple to tell them the man they had helped was a well known con artist who had been running the same scam on the same road for the past 20 years he had been in and out of prison more time than most people have hot dinners and had only just been re-let out the day before he scammed them. Needless to say the couple were a little upset !.

Anyways back to my original point I think this could be a good idea people are very susceptible to suggestions and with the right amount of persuasion can be cohersed into doing most things.

You may slate away.
