Congress is spending a large amount of time investigating steriod and other "performance enhancing drugs" in professional baseball.
Let me say that again: "Congress is spending a large amount of time investigating steriod and other "performance enhancing drugs" in professional baseball."
Does this not strike anybody else as odd? Why are our politicians wasting time and tax dollars on this? Are steroid-using players a threat to national security? Is an international cabal of steroid pushers trying to *ahem* muscle their way into the country to do harm to the citizens? Have we solved all of the other problems in this country and now we are left with junk food legislation?
I, for one, am glad to see that the elected officials of this greta nation have finally resolved the health care crisis, education reform issues, job stability problems, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the upcoming recession. Long gone are the days when we had crime, immigration problems, and oil concerns.
Finally the utopia our forefathers envisioned has become a reality.
Now, we can finally focus on the important matters. I demand that congress also get involved with the allegations of American Idol vote scamming, the Writer's Guild Union strikes, and the "death" of Tupac! Also, I'm pretty sure professional wrestling is fake. Maybe they should look into that as well.
For too long you have lived abopve the law, baseball! You will receive your come uppance!

The problem isn't the steroids as much as it is the perjury. If the government let's this debacle of liar after liar slide on by then it'll give the populace a sense of violated security.

I can't believe you just used the term 'to lie under perjury' and then made a veiled attempt at calling me stupid...you moron.
remember back in the 90's when we had a President 'lie under perjury'...wouldn't that have been a good time to make this stand?
step out of your bubble son and start looking at the real world around you.

what I'm saying if you can follow along is the glorification of public figures will no longer serve as an excuse to lie under perjury or get out of the common ticket, etc. etc. I think you put on the My Little Pony helmet instead of the lightning bolt helmet today.

you're missing the point,
If Congress wastes money on baseball, that is less money we spend on important things. like feeding the homeless.
if our poor became a larger issue with the public, Angelina Jolie would keep that sweet ass here instead of Africa or whatever.

It's not that no one has lied under oath fuckstick. It's the glorification of the pro athlete/Hollywood star. 15 years ago, when have you ever heard of a star being arrested for D.U.I. Now, it's common place. The old policemen would let the public figure go and tell the story to their fellow workers. Besides, don't bash me for the government's stupidity. You're picking the wrong fight today, you argumentative dick muffin.
