Why are there so many Jewish accountants?
Why are there so many Blacks in fried chicken restaurants?
Why are there so many Mexicans at the day laborer spots?
Why are women so fucking moody?
Why do so many of the people that are driving with their heads up their ass, and almost take off the front of my car on the freeway, end up being Asians?
Why do so many Arabs and Middle Easterners run convenience stores?
I ask because our society has determined that stereotyping is archaic and prejudicial thinking so it couldn't because of anything even remotely stereotypical.

Why are there so many Jewish accountants?
Because in their mini-culture there is an increased amount of pressure to be successful because of the discrimination they've faced in the past.
Why are there so many Blacks in fried chicken restaurants?
Fruit and healthy food is expensive. Milk is $3 a carton, but pop is only 99 cents. Poor families tend to opt for what's affordable over what's necessarily good for you and any idiot can tell you that the socio-economic status of many minorities are lower than that of Caucasians'
Why are there so many Mexicans at the day laborer spots?
Because there are a lot of Hispanic people in your country. Deal with it.
Why are women so fucking moody?
I'll assume you mean someone specific so, putting up with you.

I posted these statements to invoke some thought from the masses here. That is all.
Am I racist? Do I unjustly stereotype people? I don't think so. My friends are spread across a wide array of culture and heritage. I live in Southern California, trust me I would have never made it through high school had I been some kind of Racial Fundamentalist. I am primarily of Asian and Spanish Decent, though my appearance may deem otherwise. My best friends are Italian, German, Chinese, Iranian, and Mexican, respectively.
The point I make with this post is that there is this fringe thinking that Organizations like the ACLU have imposed on the public that have demonized any type of "Social Generalization" as a form of discrimination, when they are extremely evident in everyday life.
Everything in Moderation.
Generally speaking, due to their cultural upbringing, as it was very clearly stated in some very poignant replies, These cultures have niche lifestyles. Does that make them culturally inferior? Of course not...and to try and state otherwise WOULD be discriminatory.
But in the same right, pretending that they are based in myth and calling them prejudice, is just ridiculous.

Because during the middle ages, Christians viewed business (esp. banking) as a bad thing, as it was only related to earthly well-being and not salvation. Thus, Jews have been in business a lot longer than most other Europeans and their descendants.

But with 6.6 billion people on this planet in order to have any chance of comprehending the random nature of human interaction we rely on the patterned generalizations that like-minded individuals gravitate towards naturally.
