I like the fifth one down.. I like the juxtaposition of the gun, the leather, that badass ready-for-anything getup... and those shoes, all but impossible to walk in, crippling as a temporary foot-binding.

FLAW #1 Why didn't WOODY H just pick up the fucking $ when he found it.
FLAW #2 Why didn't WOODY H make a break for it on the stairway. Did he think the dude was going to forgive him when he went back to the room?
FLAW #3 Where in the fuck are all the fucking towns people during the: night shoot-out/the day shoot-out/the day car-bombing........

Flaw 1: I guess he didn't want the rest of his life to be a miserable chase being followed by the guy.
Flaw 2: He would have killed him just as easily on the stair as in his room.
Flaw 3: Would you come out to investigate a shooting at night? Would you get in the middle of a shoot out in a street?

1- Correct answer, the whole idea behind the character of Chighur is that he is relentless...i thought that was rather well explained in Harrelson's Dialog with Moss in the hospital.
2- See also #1. Additionally, by whatever code these men live by there comes a time of acceptance of one's fate. Be that a real thing or not...it exists in McCarthy's fiction. Also I suggest reading the book to reveal additional details of the conversation between Chirgurh and Harrelson's character.
3 - Again, HBTS is correct for the night sequence and the day sequence of blowing up a car was directly intended for the distraction of the 'towns people'. Additionally the book gives more description of the events and those surrounding them.
I think it's a classic tale of the book is better than that movie but the movie is still pretty fucking good and leaps and bounds better than other stuff being made. There isn't a moment of wasted cinematography throughout the whole thing.

I don't mean to sound pretentious, but I know a lot of people who don't like it because they don't understand the deeper themes or the ending gives them a bad taste in their mouthes.

Oh no I got it. I completely understood the entire thing, got the whole "sometimes the bad guy gets away" stuff and how that makes it more realistic and all that shit. Thing is, while doing all this the movie a) forgot a climax and b) made all characters completely stereotypical. You got the Old Wise Sheriff, the Naive Deputy, The Mysterious Murdering Stranger, the Wiley Drug Dealing Mexicans, the Gruff Loner, etc. There was no imagination what so ever when it came to character outlines.
