Aside from having a poor looking logo, the Patriots are so hot right now. All the other wins and all the other Super Bowls were huge. But tonight we are watching the biggest game in the HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE, obviously. Looking at 19-0 is hardly a small feat. Hands down, the Patriots are the best team EVAR. Even if they do lose tonight, their record would still be better than the Giants.
Today I was watching highlights from whichever Super Bowl it was when we played the Panthers and I got choked up and almost wept. I know I know, Retros a FAGGG! But honestly just watching something so awesome (and I mean awe-inspiring, in an intellectual way not skeevy stoner way) got me kind of emotional.
I got that electric feeling you get when something is so exciting your body is actually surging. Like, when Mel Gibson is yelling FREEEEEDOMMMM in Braveheart, I got those excitement surges. If you didn't, you're a robot.
Out of all the black people in my life, Barack Obama, Patrice Oneil, the dude on Heroes and a few others, Randy Moss is my favorite and I'm looking for him to come through tonight. And with Tom Brady's perfect arms.. umm, I mean ARM, I think we are unstoppable tonight. Obviously more than the performance of those two players are needed for a W but, like you, I have a short attention span and am already sick of this post.

Patriots of this last decade are the best team of our time, and probably will be seen as the greatest of all time in the future. Bottom line, the Giants defense came out to win and would not aceept anything less. The Pats tried, and did pretty well against what they were facing. There is a reason that the Giants made it as far as they did, they stepped up at the end of the year and pushed even harder in the post-season. I wanted the Pats to win it all but the Giants did everything they could to stop it, and they did just that. As far as I'm concerned, the Giants weren't trying to win a Superbowl, they were just trying to beat Brady.

08 pats would KILL the perfect season dolphins

You can't compare teams from totally different eras. If the Patriots played under the same rules the 72 dolphins did (for example, no illegal contact penalty and no tuck rule), I suspect you'd be looking at a pretty different "dynasty."

they may not destroy them, but yeah i think they'll win. they fear Coach Belichick far to much to lose.

The Patriots haven't annihilated anyone since about the midpoint of the season. So suddenly people taking them -12 is ridiculous. 7 or less.
bet fair were taking -14 yesterday, two hundred quid was promptly splashed. i've won about $800 so far on the giants unlikely journey, they were often ridiculously priced esp on european betting sites.

the giants got there, so its not as if they're not good. but eli manning gets shaky under pressure. so i think with that and brady/belichick, its a definite win.

Best ever?
Patriots Regular Season Record (all-time) : 366-349-9
Not a chance. The Pittsburgh Steelers in the mid-seventies were the best ever.

i guess the rule is about where they were filming from, and the question was if they were filming the coaches calling the plays. all teams do it the Pats just got caught. doesnt make it right but its hardly unfair. people just like to bitch at something so GRANDOIS. did i spell that right?
=========
Yeah, I had a look about the interwebs and found that info. about coaches (the 'sideline' right?) and the location. It seems like total nonsense, especially when, like you say, all the teams do it. It's not 'cheating' surely, but research?
I dunno, it's a game I don't know much about, but appreciate the history behind this particular match so I'll check it out.
I'm assuming the sensible money is on the Pats to annihilate everything in their path?

I'm going to stay awake for as much of this snooze fest as I can, since it's on after Match of the Day over here.
I don't understand what it is that The Patriots have done that's so bad to make everyone say they cheat. Care to enlighten me anyone?
Because, as I understand it, they've taped games, studied plays made by teams and then told their players what to expect. This is common practice in football/soccer; what's wrong with studying your opponents?
