Writing a paper on the security measures and infiltration, and for the life of me I cannot remember, nor can I find, the name of the Russian City that was built to be a replica of an American mid-west town. English was required and they had many of the amenities that you would find in an American town.
John Travolta did a movie in the late 80's called "The Experts" that was alledgedly set in the town in the USSR.
I wanted to say it was Novogorod but that is wrong.
I figured I would ask you folk, because nothing is obscure on Uber.

It was filmed in the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario Canada. It is near Niagara Falls.

The town in the movie was fictional.
It was a movie...duh
It has a name though... occasionally referred to a "Coca-Cola City" by the KGB (who also claim it was a myth) but for this rumor to be so pervasive throughout spy novels as well as mainstream thought for a little while, it had to have some basis in truth.
Frustrating as hell trying to remember the name of this place.
