They were called "The Doldrums" I have found one of there demo tapes available on www.screamsfromthegutter.com and Oldschoolpunk77 however all I can find is a listing not an actual music file. I also searched CBGB website (where I know they played) and a number of other sites with no luck. Anyone have any ideas other than the obvious "Google".
+2's For EVERYONE if I can get my hands on a MP3 =)

People have a lot less energy for flaming these days Belle. Most people just choose what rating to give something by rolling a die.

Henry Rollins came to talk at my college one time when I was a sophomore. I missed it and regret it every day. I did see Tracey Morgan, though. And then we had Ron Jeremy debate some religious lady about porn one time.
But still, I missed Henry Rollins.

next time front the cash to buy the disk at the concert
Thanks for your help. I did buy the 7" record. I am unable to find anything else to buy or I would. The last time they played a live show I was about 13 and my mom would not let me fly to New York to see a punk band. Maybe it was because we were Mormons?

any p2p network.... myspace... alltheweb.com has an audio lookup...
check wikipedia and see if there is a page, check the references on that....
if you can find sound files that you cant download.... use a recorder
i recommend audacity.. it lets you record any sound on your computer and convert any audio format into a different format...(you can turn wma into mp3,ogg vorbis, etc.)
it can be found as freeware at www.majorgeeks.com

Rhymenocerous,
I think I will go with option #2.
It's always easier to have other people do things for you.
That's the American way isn't it?

Haha. Its not the hardest thing to do. It's actually pretty easy. You just have to have the right cables. Maybe go to a Radio Shack with someone who knows a thing or two about electronics so you dont get ripped off. Or just find someone who knows how to do and make them set it up for you.

yeah its hard to find mp3 formats for those old school hXc bands that never made CDs from their 7"s. Connecting your record player to your computer in the way CaptainThorns says is probably your best bet.

I have searched the intarweb for weeks, I can't find much other than a few articles on noidea website apperently they were the first band to make a 7" with noidea. Other than that I can't find anything!

Im still on my first Zune. I got it the day they came out. Battery life is excellent. No problems thus far. Did you search myspace for their potential band profile? Or pure volume? Any of those sites?

I just bought my second Zune, the first one was excellent until the battery just gave up. I have an hour long walk everyday home and I don't think I could make it without some good tunes to listen to on the way. #1 reason I want the doldrums! I think they were a Gainesville FL band.

Um, if you hook up your record player to your computer with the proper cables, I'm sure there's some program out there to copy music data and convert it to mp3 format. There has to be, I'd assume. However, having done no such research, I cannot vouch for the validity of my statement.
Zune's rule. The video quality is incredible, aint it!?

25 years ago I was 2!!! I have tried to contact no-idea records where they made a 7" to see if there was a music file. I have the record I just want it on my zune! I guess I could look into a record to MP3 converter... Does such a thing exist???
--------------------------
Yes - it's called a turntable with RCA outputs. From there you can route into your stereo and from your stereo's line out into your PC, or you can find a RCA adapter to plug into your PC sound card.

If it's the same band, there are many results on soulseek- an album called "Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti."

I just saw Agnostic Front with Hatebreed back in December. They were terrible. I'm sure they were fun to see 25 years ago...but there comes a day when you gotta let it go.
As for "The Doldrums" I'd check iTunes or Zune Marketplace. Maybe go to a Newbury Comics (or equivalent music store with an album search computer) and do a search. Maybe the music store people can order you one of their 7"s or a CD if they ever made one.
