What happened?! Seriously? I mean I have my cleats and shin pads in closet cause that was just bad. Oh I know we're know Europeans(we shoot minorities not goals) but God damn atleast we beat the Beaners. I mean did you see the stadium? There were about 15 very, very brave American dudes in a Texas stadium. I just want to know what happened that our defense apparently got hammered drug and forgot how to tie their own shoes. I've honestly seen more heart in non-qualifying high school matches. I will give credit thoug to a few. Altidore is gonna be something great in time, Onyewu was a great aggressive and heart player, Bradley played some good D and played smart all game, Dempsey played well and still just don't get what offsides the refs called. Tim Howard did some damn good goal tending. He's intense for sure, and is a very compentent keeper(that damn Mexican was just pure crap, I'm surprised he's pro to be honest).
Ok those are some baaasic player grades(personal opinion only), but it looked like more than half that team couldn't spell soccer. I felt so bad for the Defense. They were getting pounded down as the mid fielders discovered "it gets bigger when you rub it". Shitty Mexico shouldn't go from defending to a single pass leading to a forward challenging a defender for a shot. It was a sad game and the only thing that probably saved them was America's better talent.
My big question though is to you Euro's out there. What'd you think of this game? Chuckle in amusement at two teams doing the equivalence of a toddler putting on his daddies shoes? Just go wtf? Turn the channel to some other faaaaaar more interesting game of real "footie"(I actually don't think you call it that, I really hope you don't cause I'll think SOOOO much less of you)? What'd you think...rest of the World?

sadly unless something happens to really turn people off that's not terribly likely. I think if i get back to Engerland I'll need to make sure to catch a game. maybe I can meet some football houligans and partake in thier shenanigans.

It would have been a +2 for a Yank talking about our beloved football, but your spelling sucks. Anyway, Yank aren't a bad team and you're getting better as interest grows over there. I'd certainly say you're better than Scotland or wales.

Yeah usually we make the Mexicans feel bad about themselve in all aspects. We usually just play a hard, steady, controlled pace they just can't keep up to but this game was just bad. Our players were out of shape in vast comparison. I'm the first to admit it, we had no team skills or any sign of endurance or of a team ready to play a long game.

I'm not going to slate yank football, but it does have a long way to go.
Mexico are no push overs, but you guys play them all the time, so you are bound to get used to how they play, and beat them.
Your domestic league sucks bollocks through a straw, but at least it's not selling out any further like the bastards of the EPL - English league games should be played in England!
