I'm not going to try to make this an interesting or humorous read. All I hear about on CNN is why people like the presidential candidates, and it seems like the very last reason is their stance on issues. Hell, CNN ran a fucking story titled, "Black Women Finding Difficulty in Choosing Between Their Gender and Race."
People, think about the issues. I'm amazed that Huckabee has even won a caucus or primary. Does anyone know his stance on health care? He wants to abolish employer provided health insurance! Oh, but he's evangelical and automatically has the support of the Bible Belt states of Iowa, West Virginia, Kansas, and Arkansas because people can't see past religion.
Same with Romney. He won 90% of the votes in the Utah Republican primary, but still lost to a pseudo-Republican who has more waffles than the Waffle House and Huddle House put together. Why? I wonder...
I won't even start with Clinton and Obama.
I'm not trying to say that America should always have white male, religious but secular presidents, but we're electing the next leader of the free world. This person controls how the next decade will play out in the world. This person will have unilateral control of the American nuclear arsenal. All they're really talking about on the news is "Clinton has the support of Hispanic voters, but Obama is whittling away at her female base." and "Is America ready for a Mormon president?"
I'm seriously considering just quitting American politics altogether.
Discuss.

"The purpose of the office of the president is not to wield power, but to draw attention away from it" Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).
We have a fine selection of Presidential candidates this go-around.
