As I wrote here http://www.ubersite.com/m/115175 last week I have decided I want to be a comedian.
I did my second stage performance tonight, and to be honest, I may not have killed em, but I got three times as many laughs as I did last week.
My first time I was nervous and felt a little ill, although that may have been the 4 beers I damn near pounded in the hour preceding the show...and the three afterwards.
Tonight though, I did have 2 beers before I went up, but that was just being social with the other open mic'ers and the headliners.
It was another packed house with 9 total people in the audience, not including the 4 open mic'ers, the warmup, and the headliner...
Makes for an interesting time on stage...with a large crowd chances are someone will think your material is funny. A small crowd is much different, if you can make half of em laugh at any given bit, you can usually be assured it was pretty funny.
Once again my suck ass friends did not show up...I am beginning to think I need to make some new friends...at least someone competent and trust worthy enough to use my cell phone camera to take a video.
I think I may have to bribe young women with alcohol and the promise of an interesting night...build up a drunken hottie entourage...ok maybe I am dreaming a little bit there, but ya never know.
I left the stage tonight feeling more confident and more comfortable in my stage persona, and if making professional comedians laugh is any gauge of how I am doing...I am doing alright.

This is seriously something that should be an e-mail sent to family after a successful night.
How about you give us some of your funny jokes instead of giving us a play-by-play without details?

people like Ltap usually have few if any friends and the ones they do have are usually just as pathetic and hateful as they are, perpetuating the circle jerk mentality of: "Hahah I'm cool...cuz I bash people who I secretly envy"
I realized a while back that ratings on Uber do not dictate my self worth and so some random mouth breather hitting me with a -2 and some wittijism (not a typo) comment usually doesn't bother much more than to put just enough effort into pointing out how sad and pathetic they are.

This coming Sunday though I am physically dragging one of my friends to come along, if not more than one to provide a little bit more moral support as well as video it.
Suck thing is that right now, I have to get a 5 page paper written on the literary and cultural impact of Hemingway's "Soldier's Home"....First draft... so it doesn't have to be awesome, but I need to get it done by noon... WEHEE!!
