Sunday night I once again stumbled through my material and my two best jokes were totally adlib...after the second, I was laughing so hard myself I couldn't continue and did a rock star close...
The down side...my friend who was supposed to be recording me with my cell-phone video (shitty quality but you fuckers want proof) and for some reason Chills had the technological skills of an inbred chimp and was unable to push the BIG SHINY SILVER FUCKING BUTTON RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GOD DAMNED PHONE in order to make it work properly.
Again, I felt good in making the pros laugh, both Amaru and Monte Allen were great guys and gave us open mic'rs tips and helped us shape some of our jokes before the show. Aside from knocking Amaru down with my "Dr Ruth getting boned by Sean Connery" impression (I think he just wanted to see what I could do with the idea) the best suggestion I got from the pros was to video tape my act, and to practice in front of camera at home to time and sharpen my bits.
So yesterday I went out and found a great deal on a Sony HCR-38 mini DV recorder, as well as a Fisher Price Cam for my retarded friend (mainly to keep him busy and not fuck with my camera on the tripod).
So this coming up Sunday there will finally be video of my act and once I get the cable I ordered I can transfer, encode and upload.

My 2nd best line of the night came totally adlib in the middle of my set.
I touched for a moment on the zone...and then fell back out of it...and started laughing at my own material...mainly because it was so unexpected even to me.
Then when I again went into the zone talking about celebrity stalkers and paparazzi and what not and transitioned into a masturbation bit adlib and after I mentioned a lonely man's threesome is using both hands...and then went into what is now a new bit, and I started cracking up again.
mainly because I realized...holy shit...here I am on stage talking to my hands about a rendezvous later and people were actually paying attention and laughing their asses off.
that was when I realized nothing else I had prepared was anywhere near as funny as the shit I just said so I said 'Thank you and Godd NIGHT!!' through up the double manu cornuta and walked off stage.
