This is my first post, and as you can expect...it sucks! But it's my birthday today(as well as steak & BJ day) and I am bored at work counting down the minutes until I leave.

I don't have a lot to share here so I won't make any real attempt to entertain people, instead I will be a martyr to the some clever comments cutting me up.

Working on my birthday sucks, add to that I have been sick all week and I don't expect to be cashing in any steak & BJ vouchers tonight! DOH!
I will however be heading over to my parents house tonight for some good ol' fashioned WOP food for my bday dinner! Huzzah!

I live in a shit hole little city in Canada that is known for its one only industry and excessive drinking!
I will be contributing to some of those statistics tonight I'm sure!

I have noticed that as I get older alcohol effects me completely the opposite as when I was just a little gaffer.

For example; in high school, I would drink cheap booze just to get wasted and I would almost always end up puking before I went to bed but I remembered the whole night with relative clarity.
Now, 10+ years later, I find I can drink an obscene amount without puking(rarely at least) but my memory has more holes in it than an OJ Simpson trial defense.
Iunno, I will just chalk it up to extreme brain damage from years of weekend alcoholism!

And now for some random statements and things about me...

Dexter is the best show on TV right now...hands down! And I mean the original uncut & uncensored version, not the crappy hacked up shit that shows now on the major networks.

I find my musical tastes have been changing a lot recently. I find myself listening to a wide range of music, but the main focus is on 2 opposing genres.
On one hand I love "harder" music such as Sevendust, Tool, Nonpoint and Chevelle. On the other hand I am really loving acoustic artists and bands, such as Dave Matthews Band, Matthew Good, Days of the New and John Butler Trio.(I recommend you check them out if you have never heard of them)

I used to be really into watching movies, even got a pretty sweet home theater setup. Yet lately very few movies interest me enough to get the motivation to go watch it at the theatre or even rent them for that matter. Thank you bit torrent!

I'm sick of winter! Here in Canada winter lasts what...10 months out of the year?! Ugh! I just want some warm weather & sun!
I can't wait to go fishing and get back into some water sports.

Yeah, that's it for now...let the -2's begin!

Random TV show quotes for good measure

Homer: How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?
====
Peter: I'll handle it, Lois. I read a book about this sort of thing once.
Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?
Peter: Oh yeah.
====
Michael Scott: What is the single most important thing for a company? Is it the building? Is it the stock? Is it the turnover? It's the people. The *people*. My proudest moment here wasn't when I increased profits by 17%, or cut expenditure without losing a single member of staff. No, no, no, no. It was a young Guatemalan guy, first job in the country, hardly spoke a word of English, but he came to me and he went "Mr. Scott, will you be the Godfather to my child?" Wow. *Wow.* Didn't work out in the end. We had to let him go. He sucked.

Sorry to say it but this was dull and pointless. People don't really want to hear this babbling bullshit about the details of your life. Try making up a story or something that at least has some interesting aspect.

===
YES. Only it's not really on 'right now,' so for me that title goes to Lost until Dexter's back.

Today's my friend's birthday, too. HBD.
------------
You deserve 5 -2s on your highest-rated posts for liking Lost even the tiniest bit, but I'm too lazy.

You want a shithole Canadian city? Come to Saskatoon. All we have are old people and those tight pants wearing "emo" idiots, who brush their hair to one side and walk around talking about obscure bands with singers who all sound like the guy from Simple Plan. I need to move, post fucking haste.

And leave off the myspace shit no one wants to hear a blog.

Nah that wasn't too MySpace-y. MySpace stuff are just people rattling off what their favourite bands and celebrities and memories and shit are and how they're "thoughtful, funny, smart", etc. This was more interesting than that.

Actually, I revoke that. You have about an 80% chance of being a real person, which is better than the influx of new alters we've had recently.

Dexter is another boring-as-hell drama. True, I watch the major TV networks and not your underground secret alternative media, but I'm just saying.

Auto newbie -2.
