Maybe I'm ignorant but I can't find the title of this opera/greogrian chants/movie theme...whatever. I just don't know.
Find it out. Thank you.

this has nothing to do with carmina burana. i know that opera almost by heart.
as for this one, it's clearly a somewhat modern christian opera of some sort if you can decipher a few latin words, but which, i dont know. from what i found so far, it seems to be Psalms.

I bet you are referring to the Opera "Carmina Burana".
Its opening and ending has been used in many movies (like Excalibur) and ads (like Quebec Nurses Union). It's called "O Fortuna Imperatix"
That music has a special history. The first monks allowed to travel from one library to another in medieval Europe were named the Goliards. They were a special class of travelling monks that had the priviledge to travel and see stuff outside their Seigneurie, unlike most people at the time.
Of course, they found out religion was bullshit and that in the real world... Fortune rules (O Fortuna Imperatrix), not God. So they started to hang in taverns and composed some drinking songs instead of copying the Bible.
These songs were forgotten for a few centuries in a monastery and rediscovered much later and adapted into an opera.
I have the techno version and I love it.

Almost sure it's O Fortuna by Carl Orff.
======================
No it's not. "Carmina Burana" is an older opera and is in German; this track is clearly Latin and the orchestal arranging is far more contemporary in terms of style.
Perhaps it's from Da Vinci Code or some other religious-themed movie?

I think it's called "This post fucking blows", but I'm not sure, since there's not a chance in hell that I have a remote interest in listening to it.

Priest?
hmmmm
Who likes children to a distressing level, claims that they know the secret truths of the world and speaks in a language that few sane people understand?
Bubba? Are you a priest?

my favorite carl off tracks are fortuna plango vulnera and floret silva.
the rest is rather boring, except of course for the famous and tired o fortuna.

axololt, you just picked a famous opera song. the tracks are not even slightly the same.
based on your last post on music, i can understand why.
