I think the attachment speaks for itself. I only need add that we received an actual envelope from the police about a week ago (regarding installing some new safelock thing) which spawned this entire prank and yes, my roommate's reaction should have been put on film.

OK, this was pretty funny.
My wife got me one year with a call from "Officer Ponch" of the "California Highway Patrol" saying I had 21 outstanding speeding violations as recorded by their traffic control/recording camera system, that these violations had occurred between 1983 and 1986, and that with subsequent investigation and court costs I owed (some random number in the 17,000s) dollars and had a warrant out for my arrest. "Officer Ponch". Nice.
