I'm embracing the moment - the awareness of the now. Some of you are not. That's ok. We'll see you below. GO HABS.
Condescending is my usual approach when talking at stupid people. Hopefully you are of the mind to appreciate that I don't necessarily mean you. See, if you are not one of the idiots - then you will smile and nod - I like people like you.
I remain quite enamored with the free exchange of idiocy around here.
Seems to me: the more people who line up to point out our failings and in a directed fashion - you know REALLY concentrate on how to fix the world - I think the better the chance we will all win.
It's just a thought. I like it. Simple to the point. Let's do that.
I mean REALLY - why we allow our micro level contributers who eventually affect each of our own reality to fail so fucking miserably is beyond me. But we do, and not care about it in equal parts apathy, distraction and boredom.
The fact I'm a lazy fuck shouldn't disqualify my solid review of our random voluntary insignificance, either. I understand it doesn't help the cause but all of you nitpicky cunts following along will glom on to the fact that I'm just as useless as YOU. Look, cunt, the fact I am not out there mending up the trees and swimming along-side our mammalian buddy the dolphin is no cause for my immediate irrelevance.
We like to pick sides though.
Nothing I say is new, nothing I say is interesting to people who don't give a shit, either.
I know things are being done, important wonderful things, but capitalism dictates the cruelest of divides in privilege, lifestyle, food, slaughter, manipulation... SO BACK THE FUCK OFF. OK.
I'm not bitching about the world - I'm merely pointing out the level of suck.
Of course I think we can do more. I think people like Al Gore should be listened to... as annoying as he might come off at times, his message is important and absolute. I think the United States should go democrat for this next election for no other reason than I said so. Pick that Barack Obama fella. I think he might be helpful in and at least trying to get you fuckers to not suck so hard in so many areas. I know some of you dipshits following along will get your taint all creased up because I said that... I don't care. Your wrath is amusing to me - AT LEAST IT BETTER BE. Oh please let it be. Muster up some convincing hate - barf out how displeased you are with me. I win.

Being aware of things is cool. Being happy is good times - do that. Always TRY and be nice to people, love unconditionally - where you can - watch out for them shifty fuckers who ruin everything. Surround yourself with the good people. Try to understand life from every angle, analyze everything, decide with intelligent and understanding first, best intentions a close second. Shun the evilest of thoughts, but truly explore the boundaries of that definition. While things are most certainly relative - my awesome is absolute.

Heh, one of the "big guys" at my contract resigned today and sent out an email. Immediately there was clapping, the supervisor for our group went out and bought booze and one guy loaded up his best "celebration" songs.
I'd never met this guy, but this was the proverbial house falling on the wicked witch apparently.
BUT on the plus side, I am now well on my way to being drunk!

The problem with people like rob berg is that no matter how stupid and trite their shit is, someone will always listen, because most people are only a little bit lower on the IQ list then him. So he has tons of adoring "fans" who just eat his shit up, yet he contributes nothing to the community, and really nothing to the world. He just sits in his moms basement and thinks "At least I'm popular here! I wish those guys on WoW could see me now... not let me in their raid guild will they. Well, no I've got my own guild! I once knew a guy who thought he was a genius because he thought he found a good way to become famous and thought that it would be easy. He thought that he could go around longer than any person would ever want to with thier finger up thier butt and be considered a winner by the fine people at guiness. Just when he was ready to go through with it, and with much prodding from me, he called up guiness and they told him that while he could certainly stick his finger up his butt and walk around, "like a fool", they would have absolutely nothing to do do with the documentation nor the confirmation of such an event as a "record." Snobs. My friend was furious and threatened to call a lawyer. They said they didn't care that they had a monopoly on the world book of records and that they were the law. They said they had a sattelite that could track targets as small as birds in flight and that the evisceration of one insignificant man with a fetish of putting his finger up his butt would be no problem. This is the biggest load of shite I've ever seen. We all love sensationalism a good bit of drama. Its using scare tactics to win support from the people though and that to me is underhand and disgraceful. Let me put this to you, did you ever consider that the media and others pick things up that make headlines? The more catastrophic, the bigger the celebration and the press and every politician for that matter are all over it - its what they do don't you know.
Do you not at least consider that they use the environment in the same manner as well? That they pounce on the first scientist that pulls a doomsday theory from his modelling software. Or will they turn to the rational, non-glory-hunting scientist who tells it how it really is? That's not going to spark much of a reaction is it? Science is like statistics in that if you go hunting for a certain kind of information you can pretty much prove what you like.
I don't even want to go into the revenues governments are making through new tighter legislation. Emissions trading schemes, environmental liability, habitats etc. Good in a way because its forcing us to think about our surroundings but terrible because they are finding yet another avenue to cash in on. I am believer in not destroying habitats and species but I'd say the fair majority of it is bullshit.
And one final point - I find it farcical that apparently one of the sole causes of our demise is CO2 one of the most abundant gasses on our planet. In our complicated ecosystem, this is the best they came up with, people who difficulty predicting the fucking weather think they know the single route cause of all our problems. Give me a fucking break.
I bet you calculate your carbon footprint (biggest bullshit of all) running around worried with your recycling bins in each hand that you may be solely responsible for killing us all.
