I like this one alot. The piano is a little loud in the middle though, it's drowning out the guitar.
SHAMELESS LINKWHORE to my music:

Thanks for taking time to listen and for your comments. I did chose to use a lot of unorthodox sounds and things just to be a little different than normal stuff. The album I made is pretty out there.
I will post some more soon and see what you think of that.
thanks

I think the melody is pretty good.
The solo thing in the middle is OK, but the effect sounds too fake, it should be played on the guitar.
The xylophone-type effect is to loud, it would sound better if you brought it down.
The Jesus verse in the lyrics..well, that was a little weak, I thought..could use a rewrite.
Overall, it's a decent track.

I heard catfish and then I went all like:
*Laugh**Laugh*
*choke*
*Fart*
*choke*
*Convulse*
*Stroke*
*Meaning of Life*
*Forget Name*
*Wave hands in front of face for 45 minutes*
*Change careers*
*Bonk head on plaster cast of Noam Chomsky*
*piroutte*

Don't take it personal... happens every time I'm drunk or a song starts out with the word Catfish.

Eek. Not something I'd buy on CD, but it's good to see so much effort put into something.

What Money said below...the piano is drowning out the "solo" instruments during the breaks. I'd also keep the vocal track more dry and back off the wet reverb a fair amount...that will perceptually draw the vocals more to the front of the mix.
Some sort of bass (either bass guitar or synth/pad) would help the mix sound fuller as well, it's very upper-mid-range frequency heavy (unless that is what you were specifically shooting for in terms of sound). If you'd like some good reference mixes of non-mastered material for EQing purposes, you might be interested in checking out these: http://www.ubersite.com/m/101290 , http://www.ubersite.com/m/113392 , http://www.ubersite.com/m/111809
Still, any musician on Uber that puts forth decent effort earns a +2 in my book. Good on ya.

I was just going to say "Pretty" but reading CaptainThorns' review made my opinion seem less than important. Still - PRETTY! :)

Not bad. It was a catchy piano line. I agree with Drogo. The little pinging shit was annoying and there were times you just had too much going on at one time. You should probably bring up the level of the accentuating tracks as well. The vocals, while not bad at times, were really bad at others. Maybe a key change in the song or a different approach to the sections you have trouble with would help. Still, not bad.

Unlike Mr sarcastic down there I actually do hate music. Music killed my entire family.
I fight music by lobbying for crazy deaf people to be able to genetically modify their babies into deaf babies. Then I'll take over all the rest with my core supporters, just like Lenin did.

Well its still a hell of a lot more talented that I am, but it sounded like you recorded it in the toilet and the strange little plinking plinking stuff sounded like it came from one of those kids keyboards that I had when I was a child.
Still I liked it, but then again I am still anxiously awaiting a come back album from Gary Glitter, My BangCock Hoe-Tell, so taste isnt my thing.

No I hate music, I prefer to listening to the sound of my balls being slid up and down a cheese grater.
