Well, I was thirsty, and I decided that the best thing to quench my thirst would be a sierra mist, in a plastic 12oz bottle, of course. But to no avail! It was warm! I told myself the fastest way to chill it was to stick it in the ice-maker in the freezer.
Fast forward 1 or 2 hours, I remember my delicious sierra mist in the freezer, and go to get it. I pull it out of the ice tray, but it is frozen, but only partially. I decide to open it... it won't budge! I finally manage to open it, and before you could say "freezing=expansion" the whole thing emptied its contents over the countertop, the cupboard, my shirt, my eyes, and the floor.

Try this: Get a few bottles of Miller beer (in the clear bottles) and put them in the freezer standing upright. The alcohol and internal pressure won't allow the beer to freeze until 26F or so, and your freezer probably doesn't get that cold. Hand your buddy a frosty cold bottle of beer and watch him open it. As soon as the cap twists off, the pressure is released and the beer will solidify instantly. 7th grade Physics. Amazing, innit?
