For starters, I'm Republican, but I don't think my people have a shot in hell at the White House this time around. So I think it's going to be Barak Obama because Hilary isn't going to make the Democratic Nomination.
I think Barak is going to be elected President and then some hillbilly asshole from Montana or somewhere is going to go apeshit at the thought of a black dude as President and shoot the shit out of him. As a consequence, we're going to have Barak Obama Day in the same vein as MLK Day. My question to you is:
What date are the powers that be going to make Barak Obama Day? I think we need a day off in October, personally.

I'm guessing either Obama's birthday or just some random day that no one gave a fuck about before, like May 4th or something.

Yeah I fucked up spelling his name. Who cares? I can't say I really care enough to remember how it's spelled.

'Barak' will probably win the primary but will fail to win the general. Which is a shame because 'Barak' or Hillary would both be preferable to McCain/Bush

Goddamnit, you can't bet on this election! Politics in my country is NOT A GAME!
It's a joke with a donkey-punch line.

I'm Scottish but I'd go with Hilary...
A thought though, think we Brits should get a vote on your president seeing as your country has such a massive influence on us.
--
Well, that's YOUR country's problem. Maybe if you weren't such assholes we wouldn't have had to declare independence in the first place.
--
It wasn't a remark to spur yet another brit / america slagging match, just an observation. You do have a lot of influence on the rest of the world, in particular, the UK. Settle down and we're not assholes.

we should kill somebody important every other day so that we may never work two days in a row.
for the record, i am not republican or democrat, but i lean right. i think the country will be fine with either mccain or obama, but not hillary. if votes were cast today, mine would go to obama.
like anybody gives a shit.

We were just talking about this at the bar tonight. Everyone at the table plans to vote Obama, but we won't be surprised if he meets some unfortunate demise.

Haha. Maybe we could have it the day after Martin Luther King Day so we can have a four day weekend instead of three. Kinda just roll it all up into one, ya know?

For the record, I am neither a Republican or a Democrat, but I dislike Democrats a little less than I do Republicans. I'm talking about politicians, and not people whom I actually know who are silly enough to define themselves in terms of political preference.
In other news, I'm resurrecting a lame habit tonight:
+2 d'backs win (again).
