what caused the famous 'great depression'?
did the crops fail?
was there a rain of locusts?
was there an invasion of huns?
was the water poisoned?
did everyone get drunk and forget to go to work?
in a time of natural plenty, with able-bodied humans galore, all ready and willing to work, what caused sudden and widespread poverty?
i assume it had something to do with the 'economic system'
seems odd

I have felt unusually bad since I moved. I reckon it is because I am very anti-social and feel unduly forced to be social. I may just be cold or missing the noise of a mainroad or the smell of stale semen and cigarette smoke.

Peter makes a thing, he gives it to Graham. In turn Graham purchases several different things, from Peter, Paul and Paolo, and constructs a gadget. In the process of constructing said gadget he requires workers in the form of Sarah, Sheila and Steven. Graham gives his workers money and also gives money to Peter, Paul and Paolo for the Things. Graham then sells his gadget for more money.
Now the structure there, rather than the people, money or stuff, is the economy.
That's all there is to it really. You can bang the complicated analysis drum but the above is basically the definition.
