I don't have much time to watch the boob tube much these days but back in the day I did my fair share stare. HEre is a list of my five favorite sitcoms of all time and my favorite episode of those sitcoms.
5. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire:
Will returns to the ghetto to meet up with some old friends and brings his short, white acting cousin Carlton; hilarity ensues. The ghetto thugs dress Carlton up like one of them and teach him how to be areal gansta.
4. The Drew Carey Show:
Drew and his two best friends all meet the same girl on different occaisons. They don't realize that their hot dates for the weekend are all with the same girl. They take advice from Kate on how to woo a girl on the first date and all go through the same routine with the same girl.
3. Cheers:
Sam gets takes a job with a big firm only to find out that they wanted him on their company soft ball team and they plan on letting him go as soon as the season is over. The best scene in this episode is when Woody, Norm, and Cliff all come to visit him at his office.
2. Seinfeld:
Where to begin...........I loved the episode where Jerry meets the girl with the antique toy collection. He asks if he can play with the toys and she tells him that he can not. He decides to feed her turkey and wine so she will pass out and he can play with them. He even goes as far as to invite George and Elaine over as well. Kramer, gets the merv griffin set and reveals Jerry's actions on his show.
1. Roseanne:
The episode where DJ discovers masterbation. It kicks ass. Roseanne tries to have a talk about it with him and tries to compare what he is going through to her first period. DJ starts screaming and runs away. Then Dan stops him and tells him to calm down and asks what the problem is. When DJ explains Dan says, "as you were," and DJ runs off screaming again . I loved this show.

I don't have the resources to look it up here at work but if you do, go for it and correct me if I am wrong. That is one of those facts that I remember hearing or reading from (what I thought was) a reliable source but I could have misread, misheard, or mis remembered. I know that I have been thinking that for years, so if I am wrong, please correct me if I am wrong or post a link if I am right.

If anyone is in sleepy sleepy dreamland, it is you. Guess what, I live in Denton, Texas, right down the street from our ghetto. The majority of people i work with are black and guess what, so are my neighbors. Two black guys that wear jerseys, have their hair in corn rows, and blair gangsta rap all the time. These guys are also both college students, they both have jobs, one has a kid, they are really nice, and they always invite me to bar-b-que with them. Did you see the episode where Will was embarrassed to have him hang out with his friends because of how he acted and thought? Firefly, long time no see...................I like Drew Carey but John Goodman is one of my all time favorite actors. Dan Conner is probably my all time favorite sitcom character. I think him, Sara Gilbert(Darlene, I think that is her real name) and Jackie(Laurie Metcalf) made that show. Their characters still crack me up.

How would you feel if the black race was the first to start civilization and they had the original power and they enslaved our ancestors, and we had to fight for our freedom against them and struggle for equal rights. How would you feel if you walked past a group of black skinheads(hypothetical) and they stared you down like you were inferior to them. What if your grandfather was poor because the rich black man would not hire him at a decent job with decent pay in the 1950's causing your father to grow up in an unprivelaged home where things aren't much better, then causing you to grow up in a privelaged home. Even though things are a lot better, the black powers of the world still have a slightly skewed view of your culture because some people in the same situation as you felt they had to steal, deal, and pillage to get the money/power they felt was deserved. Everything snowballs. Granted none of us enslaved anyone and none of the ones around now have ever been enslaved but there was a time, not too long ago, when racism was acceptable and an entire race had to over come it. It doesn't matter what their skin color is because any race that has had that long of a battle would be in the same position. You just want to think they are inferior to you? What makes you any better than any scum on this earth? I think you need to get a life and grow a damn brain.

Get over it ruin. I wasn't being durogatory. If you knew anything about writing you would know that they purposely wrote Carlton's character to be "white acting." It was part of the comedy. Put a black guy from the ghetto in the home of a rich black family that doesn't act like the main character. Fish out of water, if you will. That episode reversed the scenerio and put Carlton in the middle of a group of people that were unlike him and it showed how he adapted to it. Considering Carlton was my favorite character on that show, I liked seeing him put in that situation. It made me laugh. Don't turn this into a pc conversation, expecially with a hypocritical remark of calling me a tosser, like being gay and licking an asshole is a bad thing. Fucking moron.

I love the simpsons but I wouldn't call it a sitcom, atleast not in the traditional sense. It doesn't have laugh tracks and it is animated. It's stories seem to not follow the typical situational guidlines. It is a fucking awesome show. I like the episode where Homer puts the hippie guys mushrooms in the drink that they sold(I can't remember which drink it was) and people started tripping all over the place. I also liked the episode where Marge becomes a cop and the episode where Homer gets charged with sexual harrassment. I like too many episodes of that show.

Seinfeld - I agree with you. Kramer with the Merv Griffin set was hilarious.
Simpsons - (TV GUIDE says its a sitcom) The episode where Homer gets attacked by crows and starts smoking medicinal marijuana.
