Why is that impossible? Is it too expensive? Does the design preclude remodelling?

I don't know if this helps but my A's just beat Baltimore in the bottom of the tenth on a solo home run.
The game was in Oakland of course, but it's Baltimore related.

Do not go out at night if you are outside of fells point or the inner harbour. There's the Ottobar, Sonar, sidebar, talking head, hardrock cafe, etc for means of musical entertainment. Shopping at Fells Point and the inner harbour, 2 stadiums, and that's about it. You'll not really find much to do there. Unless you want to go to the west side and score crack.

Go to DC, it's a half hour away and much better.
If you must stay in baltimore stick to the inner harbor, fells point (definitley reccomend due to the high density of small but cool bars on near the water, just a quick walk from the harbor) or mount vernon. ESPN zone is pretty cool, and the powerplant live was good, but I haven't been back to b-more in 4 years so who knows.
If you can get tickets to an Orioles game, I would highly reccomend even though they suck cause the stadium is probably one of the nicest in all the land.
Don't do the water taxi, it takes longer than walking.
Also note than more than one person is murdered a day in Bodymore. Enjoy your stay!
