I have seen no posts about this crazy story yet, it has been on most major news channels. This is my summary of the story, nutshellish. An 11 year old girl in Austria began being molested by her father, he also began building an underground dungeon/home at the same time. She actually helped him put the giant metal door in place, not knowing that it would eventually be the door to her home for 24 years. When Elisabeth Fritzl was 18 her father, Joseph Fritzl, took her into his cellar, and locked her inside the dungeon hidden within it. Over the next 24 year he raped her continuously and fathered seven children by her. One can only imagine what life was like inside that space, which was only 650 square feet after several extensions. 3 of those children lived with her, the eldest a 19 year old girl named Kirsten who had never seen the light of day until her release. One child died shortly after birth and Joseph burned her corpse in an oven, the other 3 lived upstairs under the impression Elisabeth had left them on the father's doorstep. They managed to be freed after Kirsten became very ill and Joseph Brought her to the hospital, the doctors were baffled by her condition and requested to see her mother, Joseph brought the mother to the hospital and she told the police the crazy story, only after they promised her she would never have to see her father again.
The aftermath: Kirsten and her 3 children who have never seen daylight or anything besides the little underground apartment thier father/grandfather built for them are now in a psychiatric ward, the children are more like animals than humans, speaking mostly in grunts and growls. The mother has been regarded as "deeply disturbed" and Joseph himself will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
FAQ: why didnt they beat him up and escape: the doors were remote controlled, plus they lived in a cellar most of their lives, so most likely were pretty physically weak, and scared shitless.
Why didn't she kill herself?: I dont know, god knows i would have.
How did know one know about this?: it was pretty ingeniously hidden and controlled, no one was ever allowed in the cellar but him, and the door was hidden behind a cabinet, also all the rooms were soundproofed.
WTF? who knows, there was a similar case in vienna, also in austria, which is where this happened, cant remember if i mentioned that already.
Sorry for the "cookie-cutter" writing, I am drunk, as I am with most my posts, but I felt this was somehow an uberworthy story.
