So as I've stated in a previous post, none of my camwhores have been actually me. Instead, they're of a friend who uses the term 'BOSH' as liberally as I do. And as such, he deserves as much credit for my popularity on this website as I get. Cheers, bud.
Anyhow.. for those who're interested (and i know it was a select few), things are not working out with the lady friend. She recently renewed a contract for another year in China, and i'm stuck saving vacation days to go out and visit (again). But I've come a long way, and I couldn't be more grateful for having the opportunity for taking this trip.. and who knows? As it stands now, I am willing to follow her around the world (and in a sense, i already have), and as for next year, what better stop to make than familiar turf to both of us in the same area of China? We'll see how it goes. Without going into it too much, my mind is made up, what will it take to make hers'?
I'm not making sense.. probably becasue i'm drunk. Here is a real, 100%, BOSH man! Camwhore!

I got up at 6:00am the day of my departure. spent roughly 18 hours travelling ..but it was more like 33 hours (with the time changes)
My brain/body thought i had been awake for 33 hours.. and during that entire time, the sun was up. It was weird.
I am a rockstar in China.
The city I was in is ~200 miles East of Beijing... about the distance from Boston ~ NYC... but people in Beijing had never even heard of the city I was staying in.. hwich is understandable, seeing has its population is only SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND.
As you can imagine, its not a very popular tourist destination, so alot of these people have never seen 'westerners' (as we are referred to as) before. Ever.
People will stare and point at you. They are not trying to be impolite, its just a curiosity thing. I walked around the city for 6 days and I did not see one other foreigner.
People would follow me around with a camera, asking me to take pictures with them. People followed me into stores and even on the busses even though i'm pretty sure they hadn't really meant to be going in the direction I was.
We went out to lunch/dinner every day, I bought a lot of souveniers, and my camera broke while i was out there so I had to get it repaired. I spent a grand total of around $90 for the 9 days I was there (aside form the flight)
Peoples lives are literally on their backs.
We went to one restaurant that was basically a storage shed. Garage door entrance.. no windows, no bar or anything, no kitchen. Just a wide open storage unit with a few tables inside. Great food. On the back wall were 2 fold out cots, presumably for the husband and wife who ran the place (and i guess live there)
No public toilets. Just Squatters.
I could go on forever. EVERYTHING is different maybe i'll add to this some other time.
also maybe i'll post a few pictures, i'm not gonna type anything though. typing is for gays. so is grammar

in China, things are different.
At a Hostile in Beijing, I raised my classed and offered a 'Cheers' to a few new friends i recently made.
I took a polite sip and put my glass back down at the table.. while at the same time the 2 people I 'saluted' chugged the remainder of their glass.
Apparantly. 'Cheers' equates to 'gom-BAY' ..which basically means, 'finish your drink'.
and since 16.5oz beers are ~27 cents, it ends up being a LOT of drinking.
long story short, don't be fooled by the glass.
