Man I've been away a long time. You know, you get bored every once in awhile and you check it because you can't think of any other site to waste time at and guess what
ITS EXACTLY THE SAME
Everybody trying to think of the most insultiest insults they can, and all I can think about is that it's mostly a bunch of socially inept dorks who get all their frustrations out on the internet in an anonymous arena where they can't get punched back.
It's great! I've been here for a long time, or on and off for the most part. It's really quite an interesting social experiment- I wonder if El Barto ever thought that his brainchild would become the haven for insult-prone men that didn't really have anything better to do.
This is not an indictment of Ubersite. I love this place, if only for its curiosity and it's absurdity. It really is a unique place in the internet that over the last 6 years (and I can say that from experience) has changed little. WEB 2.0 has emerged and the site has remained virtually the same from the first day I ever came here, as a stupid 16 year old TROLL. haha.
I don't know what to make of these people. I'm a dork, I'll be the first to admit. I know a lot about internet culture. Don't get me wrong, I know my way around the real world too, but I still stay familiar with our familiar dork internet landscapes. I'm not sure how many of you guys are the same way- I like to think most, but I don't think so.
I pray for yous that fit that description.
Anyway, this is a fun site, and I understand that the culture here is one of constant insults. Fuck man, the only way my friends (likez real people in the real world) and I are even friends comes from making fun of each other. I'm no stranger to it.
One poignant thought, if you'll allow me such, to finish off this coup de grace with. I see, and fuck I'm gonna say confidently, I STARTED, the Ubersite culture of being a douchefacebag. Before I got here it was about 100 people who were all pretty nice to each other- check the archives and see if I'm lying. I'm not.
And now, as it has been for some time, as I've participated in, as I immodestly claim to have created, the UBERSITE is a place for people to vent frustrations. And that's great. I have one request- BE MUCH FUNNIER IN YOUR INSULTS! Most of them suck.
Well, here it is uberdorks. Rejoice in your sorrow.
