at least not a forgiving loving god.
The god I experience through the eyes of others is a capricious vicious lil monkey hell bent on discovering various ways for us to off ourselves and then leading us down the path of our own misfortune.
God is like the drunken step daddy that let's his new wifes 3 year stick a fork in the wall outlet to "lurn im not to do it agin" and get a good laugh in the process provided it doesn't burn the trailer down.
But no matter how wicked the delights of our vicious and vile Lord I am convinced that there is no god on either side of that particular coin.
Mainly because of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xS8MPaOUgQs the OFFICIAL teaser.
The creator of this movie, may blind gophers feast on his testicles, deserves a long torturous death.

Oh my dear lord. The sad thing is that it's got a pretty good cast and I reckon it will make tonnes of money. How embarrassing.

Steak I understand EXACTLY what is happening here.
It makes me weep for humanity.

Then why blame religion? If we blame it for everything, then once something actually is it's fault, whatever religion did is immediatley trivialised by everything else blamed on it.

Apperently you havn't understood what is happening here. See, you're linking religion to a failing of our culture, and that's wrong. Our culture only uses religion as a shield or a target.
This has nothing to do with religion, but rather a parenting failure. The end result is children growing up to be the lowest common denominator. The bar for standards is too low, because we don't want anyone to feel bad that the slow kid can't reach it.
It's not that I'm defending religion, it's that I'm clearing up semantics, and I hate doing so.
