John Pertwee would kick the shit out of that deluded midget Tennant, I'm almost ashamed that he's Scottish. Catherine Tate is a fucking douche as well, my god she's irritating.
Eccleston was awesome, but I thought he was a wanker for saying he didn't want to be 'typecast' as The Doctor, fuck sake man, it's just about the coolest thing you can act as on telly. Well, until Tennant fucked it up with his shouting and complete lack of acting ability. The only thing I've seen where I didn't want to punch his teeth down his throat was Casanova, and I only watched that by mistake.

Eh, I don't know. I really think Tennant's version of the Doctor is spot on. I really enjoyed Eccleston's more arrogant, edgy form...but I'm unsure about his Doctor being a defining Doctor for the new show. I really disagree about Tennant not being able to act...he's been really good during the pivotal moments of each season, like during "The Doctor's Daughter" episode in the ending, I really think it was Tennant's acting that kept that episode watchable, aside from Genny's interactions with him.
On the Britain thing, I thought all of them (with Eccleston at least) bar the one on the spaceship were set on Earth. I remember feeling cheated. Also, flying Daleks? No. A hundred times no. I can appreciate that they're trying to update Dr. Who for a modern audience, but I think they've missed the mark pretty widely. Where are the shitty special effects? Where are the awesome bad guys? Daleks and Cybermen were the scariest fucking things I'd ever seen as a kid. The modern iterations of them are just stupid. I've got to admit though, the one in the orphanage with the kids in gas masks was pretty freaky.

Lemme look...for Eccleston 4/14 were not on Earth. I think that you only remember the Earth episodes because they were by far the best. For Tennant's first season, I think it was the same number...but keep in mind that it's both space and time...so I don't really think going far into the past/future counts as just staying on Earth. I do understand about how almost all of the most important episodes take part in London...it's annoying.
Still, there's three doctors left, hopefully they can redeem themselves a bit, I doubt it though.

As I am old enough to remember the other Doctors, and then not watching for many years,the present show with Tennant is most entertaining.
A plus is that I can watch a full show, unlike the Sarah Jane adventures which usualy ends with me touching myself.

David Tennant is one of the shittiest Doctors there has ever been.
Jon Pertwee, William Hartnell, Tom Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Colin Baker and Paul McGann were all miles better, as was Christopher Eccleston. The combination of David 'I can't act so I'm just gonna shout a bit' Tennant and Catherine 'I was funny 5 years ago and now rely on shitty catchphrases' Tate is fucking nauseating.

No way...Baker is obviously the best, and McCoy and McGann are close...Hartnell and Pertwee are not better than Tennant. I think that he has really had to carry the show in the past 2 seasons, especially the 3rd one...Tate started off horribly but her character has evolved to be an interesting dynamic to the Doctor...Freema on the otherhand was just atrocious compared to Piper.
I really, really liked Eccleston, but I seem to be in the minority on that one.
What's more, that homosexual odyssey of a spin off is a fucking disgrace, whoever is responsible for that wants shot.

Agreed. There were a few promising episodes, such as the one where they bring Suzie back to life, but it really devolved at the end of Season 1 into Season 2...except for Owen...he's a good character...the rest piss me off.

Go to another planet, fly about in the Tardis for fuck sake! I don't care that there's aliens in London, I want to see aliens on another fucking planet.

They're not all set in Britain...I would say that half are. I do agree though, they are the weaker episodes...but you can't tell me that "Girl in the Fireplace", "Blink" and "Impossible Planet"/"Satan Pit" weren't great episodes.
