The only thing keeping me awake right now is the nauseating, noxious smell of the 5 cent perfume the secretary behind me decided to fall in a pool of this morning. Help. I need weed...no, scratch that, i would pass out if i smoked right now. I need beer...no, that would probably end up adding to the almost overwhelming feeling of nausea i have right now. I need caffine...nah, that will just dehydrate me even further, if thats possible.
Ahhh yes, water - the most abundant resource on the planet and yet i still end up paying 2.50 a bottle. Biggest scam. Ever.
Something else that has been irritating me - why the fuck are CDs so expensive. I went to Borders not too long ago to buy a few CDs, and i almost had a heart attack, or at least a mild heart murmur. 25 dollars for a CD?!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Did you know it costs less to produce a CD than it does to produce a tape, an 8-track, or vinyl records. LESS. How do they get off charging 25 dollars for a fucking CD. And these companies wonder why people are downloading music from the internet - maybe its because its FREE and NOT 25 DOLLARS. I feel there should be an disclaimer regarding the recent "Stop Kazaa" bullshit i`ve been reading about. Fine - make people pay for downloading songs, as soon as CDs are priced about 400% lower.
STOP THE CD RAPE - CHARGE FAIR PRICES! (good slogan)
no CD, and i mean NO CD, is worth 25 dollars. not even Skeletons from the Closet.
sorry for the disorganized, barely coherent rant. if you dont like it - die.
peace

CDs are overpriced for sure...I'd pay $25 if there were more than just one or two songs that were any good on it...the artists really need to stop putting filler on their albums...it pisses me off...
to the artists: quit trying to discover yourself at MY expense!!! Just stick to the usual formula that gets your singles on the radio...

the recording industry and the tax code are both things that need a good tear down and rewrite from the ground up.

I would feel better spending more on a CD if the artist saw more than 10% of the sales. I prefer to buy directly from my favorite bands. That way I know they are getting the majority of my money and not some ass-wad from RIAA or MCA.
