Yes, the landlord told us the distillery had been shut down. But luckily for yours truly he had a huge stash of the whisky in his cellar that will last him for years to come.
You sleuthy little imp.

Whoooah there tiger.
I went to that distillery, there is only one on the island (and 8 televisions), this was arond 11 years ago.
I am certain that the distillery was shut down due to some big fraud scam thing. They were flogging 10 year malt that wasn't or something. I remember, on the news it was.

No, not Kelly Brook. Nor a hooker, sadly. It was the opening night of my local lingerie shop (Agent Provocateur) and they had some real-life mannequins in the windows winking and waving at passers-by. I was there for hours.
Yes I went to a wee B&B to sample some of the local malt. It smelled like caramel. I got drunk and sunburnt on the boat, and slept like a baby that night. Sea air makes me sleepy.

Is that kelly Brooke?
Oh did you now, you sneaky thing. I can't see any pictures of cardboard boxes or DSS offices. Hmmm... :)
You were in Arran? Did you go to the pub? Oh, I love it there so much. And the locals were so lovely. Happy times.

Fascinating indeed. Little known fact: I sneaked in pictures of both my flat and my place of work in this post!
I was in Arran at the weekend (my mate has a boat), it was stunning.

I forgot to tell thee, I saw the title for this post first on the MRR.
I thought 'Oooh, I like that title, I love the book, how interesting' and I was compelled to click on the post... Before I'd even noticed who wrote it.
Dum Dum DUUUM!
Fascinating and true.

Dunno, it was broken for ages, I think it's supposed to.

I still think it's hilarious that the Squinty Bridge is basically a rip-off of the Millenium Bridge in the Toon.

+ I don't think the question of if you took the pics or not is important.
(You clearly didn't. :)

I love my city. Anywhere I have lived; from Aberdeen to Bali, Sidney to Amsterdam, there is no place like it. It has a certain, as the French would say, erm...........oh I don't know what.
The tramp playing the trumpet is awesome. Is that one of yours? Can I get a copy?
Also the daily ranger headline kind of summed up the whole airport saga.

Particolored lighting at night doesn't make the place look any less dreary. Splash the buildings with purple spotlights and spraypainted tags all you like, the whole place looks like those two oldsters in the bottom right pic. Old and bent, but still going. I'd love to visit.

"It's SHITE being Scottish! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fucking Earth! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are COLONIZED by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to be colonized BY. We're ruled by effete assholes. It's a SHITE state of affairs to be in, Tommy, and ALL the fresh air in the world won't make any fucking difference!"

I've never had the opportunity to visit the UK. Some questions:
1) Does anyone attend those churches for...ya know...church service?
2) Are the streets really that narrow?
3) Is that a hooker in the window?
4) How much does she charge?

Buckfast is a tonic wine drunk by the unemployed and the unempoyable. It is filthy cheap and tastes like death.
