I'm not a fan of the NBA. If I'm going to watch basketball I'd just rather watch the NCAA, but because it's the playoffs and the Celtics and Lakers I thought I'd watch it for a change. I had to turn off "game" 2 shortly, I couldn't watch it anymore. It wasn't just that the game was called so completely for one side, it was that there was a whistle sounding every 10 seconds. It was boring. Like many people who don't follow the NBA I watched in order to see Kobe go at it against the Celtics, but I couldn't because he was taken out of the game because of his two "fouls", only one of which was even close to being legitimate.
I'm pretty surprised that not much is being made out of what was obviously a poorly ref'd game, I'm not sure if it was corruption or incompetence that was the cause, but it doesn't really matter, I won't be watching anymore of the playoffs after that. Just curious as to if there are anymore like me who weren't a fan of the Lakers or Celtics who also wouldn't be watching anymore of the finals because of Game 2?

You want to see a poorly refed game? Watch the game between Ohio State and University of Michigan from last November when they were ranked #1 and #2. After you've seen true pain, I might consider listening to you sob story, if you STILL thinks it's a worth cause.

As you said, you obviously don't watch much of the NBA. I would argue that was an outstanding reffed game compared to most NBA games. Yes the officiating in the NBA is that inconsistent and bad.

I hate the fucking NBA and yet, this fucking post is actually less interesting than an NBA game.

While this much as true, I'm just trying to get my "name" all over the front page. I'm all about "me" and shit.

Isn't that the very same Stanley Cup that one of Howard Stern's flunkies took a shit in?

How about those Lions! Always fun to watch them on Thanksgiving.

Also, foul discrepancies happen all the time in every game. The games are not supposed to be called with "i called them now I have to call you in mind" just with a "foul is a foul is a foul". Just like adjusting to strike zones in baseball, you need to adjust to how aggressive refs will let you ne in the nba, and the lakers didn't do that til the 4th. The only reason Jackson borught it up is as a way to shield/motivate his team still.
Go Lakers by the way, it'd be funny to see Boston have the best record in the regular season and then lose the title. But like any Boston team would ever do that.
18-1!

Someone who is a NCAA fan complaining about the pace being slowed down in the NBA?

I root for the Celtics.
I'm happy with the officiating...thus far. I'm sure I'll have a different view when Salvatore calls "too tall" on KG and "improperly-fitting knee sleeve" on PP.
