Brits may claim they invented punk rock... The clash, the pistols and buzzcocks are in my list... crass, the subhumans, stiff little fingers, etc. Just no good. Thanks for black flag, circle jerks, GG Allin, the adolescents, The meatmen, crucifucks, butthole surfers, weirdos, fear, RAMONES (the real shit), dead kennedys, dwarves, fugazi (yeah), husker du and of course the stooges.

There are a ton of great American rock and roll bands now. You just won't find their music on the radio or in Best Buy. There are some very good Australian bands now, too.
