Who would like to live with a view like this?

A big fancy new hotel and office space is about to get built outside my flat. This is the heap of bricks, blocks, shards of concrete etc. that used to be a multi-storey carpark.

I have nightmares that we'll get a big monsoon few days of rain like we're sometimes privvy to in Scotland and that mound there will end up in the car park underneath my flat.

I preferred it as an abandoned multi-storey - home to the homeless in Aberdeen. Although, I've been drunk a few times since it arrived and I admit I have an overwhelming urge to climb it. The view would be something else. I'll post a pic from the top if I ever pluck up the courage to do it.

I'm surprised that somebody hasn't done it already... Its ned central on the street behind the mound so I would have expected some drunken spiderman to have scaled it on a Friday or Saturday night. As I've yet to hear yodelling from the summit I'm going to guess nobody has done it yet.

I can almost smell the granite.

If I had a camera to do one of these, you would see the LGBT society, a few transsexuals smoking, and the open-top tour bus driving past.

And do you know there are llamas in Scotland to?

Now word of a lie.

I was driving up through Scotland to Fortwilliam with my little nephew in the car who was 8 at the time. We were playing eye spy...

Little nephew: I spy with my little eye something beginning with L!

I couldn't guess, I'm shite at guessing.

Little nephew: Llama!

Me: You don't get llamas in Scotland, you've made that up!

Little nephew: No I haven't, you do.

Me: Well, tell me what one looks like then!

Little nephew: There white with wool like big goats and they like hills.

Me: Where are the llamas then? I don't see them.

Little nephew: Just over this hill.

And as we went over the hill, there were the llamas!

Me: Ok, but you still cheated because you couldn't see them yet.

Nevertheless I was still out smarted by an 8 year old.

Scotland has stags, eagles, wilderness, junkies.
England has hedgerows, cream teas and chavs.

Beauty in both. Oh and your weather sucks.

As to is England a very pretty place. "Pave paradise and put up a parking lot" A little ironic considering what they're doing behind my flat. "Once you've pulled down the parking lot stick up a monstrous hotel."

And Orphy - you can't use selective reading skills and accent as an excuse for not continuing what you started.

Yer heeds on back tae front an' I have tae say I'm no over pleased aboot the situation.

Oh yes we do, the trees and sky and the pretty buildings, lights and nice people and battered mars bars... Ooooh they're all wonderful and everybody is my best friend and screw getting a job because England will pay for me to lie about and shoot up all day and when I have an overdose, they'll pay for healthcare, methodone and rehab.

I love Scotland to live in and I love England for paying for me to stay here. Mr Jobseeker is my hero! That's why there's so many people in England and its so over populated, they must pay for us Scots to stay high all the time. England are such a charitable bunch, I really must remember thank an England person next time I drag my ass of my piss stained couch.

Sherwood Forrest is wood from nanobots. A gajillion little molecular machines built to synthesize the first ever truly man-made forest. The soil of England is inhospitable to all tree roots because 3 foot below the soil is a layer of concrete spanning the entire country. It was put there so that the English could grow quaint English gardens with shallow rooted plants and not fear ravenous weeds desecrating an impeccably planned garden which flowers all year round.

Compare the gardens of England with gardens of Scotland and you'll see what I mean.

I had a navy blue gold and green school tie with a white swan on it. It to was horrible...

I've got a really stuffy nose at the moment and I think its all the dust flying in through the window from that big pile of much in the background. I feel like my nose may soon resemble Daniella Westbrook if they don't take it away soon although they are doing something because its half the size that it was.

Oh...my bad. I know there are a few trees left in Scotland, because I used to live in Kemnay, which is something I bring up every chance I get. It also makes me awesome. I had to wear a hideous green and yellow striped tie in grade school, and they made me play "football" once, and then they wouldn't let me play anymore, and mostly in school we learned about the history British Petroleum, which was awful propagandish, but I had a crush on a girl name Dorothy who constantly reminded me that I mispronounced her name because I said "dor-thy" and not "dor-o-thy" but that's okay because she was hot...for a 10-yr-old, I mean.

I know quite well how to resize pictures but I took this to be literally, stick head outside, snap and post. I didn't take it as piss on for 10 minutes re-figuring out how my camera takes digital materpieces, taking picture, putting picture on PC, editing picture to make doubly sure it is digital masterpiece, resizing picture, giving picture witty description, posting picture.

It would seem sensible to me that if you see something that doesn't quite suit your preferences you ask why and there may be a perfectly acceptable answer. If you're bothered about sizing then save the pic and view off your computer, simple as.

----------------------------------------

I have no time for other websites, being on Uber so much.

Maybe you are right, but maybe it would be more constructive to give hints on what size works, plus link to resize.com.
I never knew about resizing etc, until someone told me.
Just because we use computers don't assume we have a clue how to use them.

Jesus fucking Christ. Yes, it's a website. Do you see other websites posting huge scrolling pictures across the screen? No, because it's fucking stupid. It's the standard format across the entire internet. This has nothing to do with being an "elder." In fact, I hate that stupid shit. It has to do with what looks correct and what looks like a twelve year old posted to their myspace account.

Last time I checked, the comment box was for criticism. If you can't take any of the constructive variety, that is a you problem.

It's not about band with, it's about having to scroll seventeen feet and not being able to see the whole picture at the same time. How would you like to watch a movie and see the upper left hand corner? I'm not making this shit up. Resizing a picture has long been the protocol on Uber. It only makes sense to make shit fit on the screen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next you'll be saying noobs can't tell you to STFU. Being an 'elder'.

Did you drop the software to resize this picture while you were hanging out of the window?

---------------------------

In a world of high resolution and broadband internet connection I wouldn't have thought this mattered very much unless you live in hicksville running Windows 3.1 not due to get broadband until 2020. For you and your hugely constricted asshole I have resized this.
