----"Did it go alright?"-------
Yapping at his feet, he could barely make out their tiny furry faces, black bean eyes, darting from left to right, as their legs out ran their bodies.
"Eyyy... little buggers" he tried to move forward to grab one; his newly operated on knee did not allow such sudden jerks. Wincing he sat back down, resigned to fail.
An unknown face approached out the shadows
"Hello mate, how you feeling?" John didn't move except to extend his own hand in an attempt to buy some time to recognise the face.
---Can I come home yet? -----
"Hello son," it was Mike! He'd worked with Mikes on the trains a few weeks ago. "How you doing' mate?"
"I'm good, I'm good" he smiled, but he sounded sad "More importantly how you feeling?"
"Ahh, can't complain. Wolverton ain't such a bad place, not like Milton Keynes ey?!" Mike sat back and smiled, he said something, but it was drowned out by the yapping of those infernal gremlins again. John just smiled and nodded.
Men. Darkness. Content?
Suddenly a man was in front of him shaking his hand and leaving. Who was he? Why was he here? John smiled and let it go; he couldn't focus right now... needed to sleep.
----- "what's going on? Why am I here?!"-------
As the air got heavier the ropes got tighter and the car got fuller. Why were all his friends dead? Weren't they all on the trains yesterday? Was it all a dream? The Hurst kept filling, toys... was it all a dream?
-----Am I here? ----
The nightmares came and went. Sanity stayed and left and came to visit sporadically. Sometimes I'm aware that I'm confused.... And sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I see things that aren't there; sometimes I don't see the things that are.

She held his hand as he muttered about trains; she'd been down this road before. He went in for knee surgery, and physically it couldn't have gone better.
The first few days they blamed the drugs, morphine sloshing through his body. The doctors re-assured and re-evaluated. A comforting arm along with a comforting word.
Family rallied round, but how can you support someone whose foundations have been pulled from beneath them? This wasn't earth shaking, this was earth shattering.
Friends long gone, neighbours pry and pick, good intentions, but too over bearing to be as involved as they are.
One week gone since the operation. He's had no drugs... my John... where are you? He accuses people of being 'that lady' and complains of small spaces... he chases invisible dogs with cloudy eyes...
Yet with all this insanity... have I seen him this happy in years? A reassuring smile on his face. Oh my John... I hope you are happy. It's all I ever truly wanted.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some strange woman keeps talking to me... I don't know her... or do I? I think I do... but then as it sits on my tongue it disappears just as quick... still, she's been nice enough... she looks sad... better smile, might cheer her up...no need to be rude...I'll hold her hand for now... she'll let go when she's ready.

I like reading things that start off confusing, confuse me in the middle, and end with a glimmer of understanding. And then make sense when I read them again.
It's a hearse, Goddammit. A Hurst is a transmission.

I'm too hung over to read this confusing mess.
However, plus 2 because you included a picture of a hot broad.

And whilst I'm sure no one really cares, my Grandpa came out of knee surgery a few weeks back, and this is what has happened to him. They reckon the anaesthetic just sorta pushed him over the edge. He has good and bad days. It's always 80/20, either sane or not.

I hate reading things that start off confusing, confuse me in the middle, and end with even more confusion.
