Tamra winced when the cold blade first touched her inner thigh. She wondered if the man had kept in in the freezer before he attacked her. Why would he do that? It reminded her of the time when her uncle spilled ice cream on her leg, then licked it off. She was old enough to know it was wrong, but he never tried anything else and neither of them spoke of it again. Still, she lived her whole life with a vivid memory of how cold the vanilla ice cream was, before being erased by the warm rough tongue. The man had bad breath, just like her uncle that day. The heat wave made everything smell, from fertilized gardens to sweaty bodies. There were a lot of sweaty bodies in the club two blocks away. She could still hear the pulsating beats that had given her the headache that motivated her say goodbye to her friends and walk home alone.

His hand came up and she could finally see the knife again. This time he brought it towards her mouth and for split second she thought he might cut the gag off her. It was starting to hurt her mouth, so the relief would be nice. Instead, it came to rest below the gag on her throat. It was still cold.

Then it hit her like Paul's fist used to. As long as this is inevitable, it should be on my terms, she thought. Paul used a variation of that phrase to convince her to sign the prenuptial agreement. Why let the government decide the contract of our marriage, he asked rhetorically. You and I should empower ourselves and do this ourselves. Except it wasn't them, it was his lawyer. Funny, that lawyer screwed her better than Paul ever did.

But as long as she was going to die, she want to be empowered. She wanted to be in control. It alluded her for so much of her adult life, but now the opportunity was there to take it. Carpe Diem. Slowly, she reached her free hand down towards his crotch. The man flinched when he felt her fingers undoing his zipper, but then locked eyes with her and saw the slight shaking of her head. Something about her eyes changed his mind. The fear was suddenly gone and a look of contentment seemed to replace it. It was all to familiar to him. The man relaxed and let Tamra extend her hand into the unzipped hole. She was not surprised by his excited state, though it made it much more difficult to pull his member out from his pants. Finally successful, she paused for a moment and made eye contact again. The stared at each other for a couple seconds before a slight nod from him gave her the permission she was looking for. She slowly, but firmly, began to stroke him.

It didn't take long. Just like Paul, she joked to her self. Were it not for the gag she would have smiled. His semen had no doubt stained her skirt, but that wasn't her problem now, was it? In fact, she even wiped her hand on the skirt, though immediately wondered why. Reflex she guessed. Their eyes met one final time. Now she gave him a slight nod, then felt the blade prick her skin. There was a flash of pain as her throat was split open and then for an instant it felt like she had swallowed too much water. The man pressed in to her, trying to keep their eyes locked. He didn't say anything. She couldn't say anything. Neither of them needed to.
