-Present Day_
The flesh is cold. It has already gone through the bloated stage. When the skin split open the smell was putrid, but I didn't move the body. When the blood dried it started to flake off of the concrete, and the cushions on the couch became stiff and course, but I didn't try to clean it up.

"You didn't talk to me the last time we met up with a group of your friends. You hardly even looked at me, almost as if you were embarrassed of me. Besides, you know that I don't watch sports. Why can't we just stay at my place? I'll cook us dinner."
"Why does this have to be a big fucking deal?" She yelled. "Why do you have to act like a child about this?"
"I'm not acting like a child!" My voice broke on the last word. Shit. I was starting to get upset. "Why can't you see where I'm coming from on this?"
"You are acting like a child, you shit!" Her face was turning red as she screamed. Why was she screaming? Why did it go this route? "Quit acting like a bitch."
"How am I acting like a bitch?" I screamed.
"Don't you fucking yell at me, you passive aggressive pussy!" She walked up to me and put a finger in my chest. "I don't have to put up with this horse shit. I said that I was going to spend time at my friend's house. If you want to spend time with me, then you'll grow the fuck up and come with me."
"You raised your voice at me first, you hypocritical twat." I railed, "Take you finger out of my chest, and watch your language. We are all both adults here."
"Fuck off you little twit."
She started to take a step around me, and head for the door. My hand shot out and grabbed her upper arm. I squeezed; not enough to hurt, but enough to let her know that I meant for her to stop.
"We're fucking talking here. Don't fucking walk out on me." I snapped.
I didn't see her move, but I felt the slap across my cheek. I also felt the wetness in my eye where she spat at me.
Before my mind became conscience of the action, my hand balled into a fist, and connected with her mouth.
A rivulet of blood dribbled down the middle of her lip where my blow had split the skin.

-Present Day-
My knuckles are covered with scabs. They were pouring blood by the time I had exhausted myself. She had stopped breathing some time earlier. I'll never know exactly when.
