Immigrants, aliens, border crossers, spics, gooks, sand niggers, etc. What happened to "Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses longing to be free..." I think it might actually apply here. I'll bet each and every one of you are immigrants. Me, I'm German Irish. My ancestors came here from Ireland in the mid 1800's................ THANK THE POWERS THAT BE FOR THAT!
It's funny to me how "WE" the good ol USA try to control the Mexicans and Guatemalans from coming into this country and "WE" do a piss poor job of it. Who knows how much wasted money and senseless time is spent on this foolish task every year. Yet on the other hand we seem to welcome the Asians and Indians etc. We don't like to admit that we like them but we do. Why do we secretly like them? Because they have money. Bottom line "We like their money" We don't care for the south of the border wet backs because they are poor. Yet we open our arms to those who have money. Now if that's not as crooked as John McCains profile I don't know what is.
So lets hash this out here. We spend countless dollars trying to keep the Mexicans and Guatemalans out and that doesn't work. We have Indians, Asians etc coming in with money to burn. I think this sort of thing is called a wash? It does no one any good what so ever, except for the border patrol who get paid a salary and the A's and I's who get to live in a free society. We Americans get nothing from it. The A's and I's spend money here and we spend it trying to keep the M's and G's out.
Is there a solution? By George I think there is!

Before you rate this without reading on................. well read on.
What we are doing now doesn't work. The M's and G's are coming in here at a rapid rate. I can remember when I was a kid, foreigners were to be gawked at. Now, a short time later they are the norm. Obviously what we have been repairing all these years is STILL broken. Sure there will be a few years of unrest. There will be tent cities in certain US areas. There will be battles at the border. The MX government will hate us. The MX drug lords will move in. But they already hate us and the drug lords are already here. They don't live in tents but they do live in groups in ghetto housing projects. There will most likely be a small war. As much as I hate to admit it we will win. They will be forced to join the USA and become the 58th state. (Sorry tigerlilly I had to throw that in.) If they don't want it we will make them want it. Hell we've gotten pretty good at that with other countries. What's one more U.S. hater at this point?
After a settling down period, things will come together. Americans will go down there and start building on that beautiful Riviera Maya. It's what we do best. (AND MAN IS IT BEAUTIFUL!) Houses, Hotels, Schools, businesses etc will start popping up everywhere down there. Jobs (with american benefits) will be available at the same pay scale as jobs here. There will be labor construction jobs, landscaping jobs, you name it the jobs will be there. Hell we'll even make them pay taxes.
If history could rewrite itself and the tides were turned and "WE" were the ones running to Mexico to find paying jobs, think about it.... You and I know we would be doing everything we could to do to provide for our families. (Short of the lazy fat slobs that could be working but prefer to live on welfare.) If were were the wet backs, we would be doing exactly what they are doing now "searching for a better way" If we were the ones who had to risk our lives to get to another country to make some money to better our way of life we would do it. If we were the ones who missed our famalies and longed for home sweet home while breaking our backs in a country that hates us and wants us to leave, we would STILL do it. If we were them and all of a sudden we had the same opportunities back at home that we have in a mean and cruel country, where we can't speak the language and had to hide everytime we saw a Sherrif's patrol car, if we had something to live for back in our ol home.............. WE WOULD CERTIANLY GO BACK THERE!
If I were Mexican and could do the same job at home, make the same amount of money (with benefits) as I do in a Country that treats me worse than the rats that infest the scum bag building I'm forced to live in, I damn well know that I would go back home and do just that. It's a win win people!
