Carol is an old persons name.

I often wonder what makes people give babies old people names. 'Oh look at baby Trevor, isn't he sweet?'

Having said that, I rather like Arthur.

I think she is in gynecology or something. If you see a blonde-haired Scottish trainee called Carol, ask her if she remembered to turn the grill off this morning (and then take a picture of the bewildered expression on her face).

I'm not sad, I'm just scared. I've been scouring the appointments and vacancies and there really isn't much going in the way of employment for useless poets like me.

RENT BOY? lol

your pig is sooo ghey, even Caul would say his hair is too gay. you big gay.

Did I tell you my cousin's working at King's Mill (or something like that).

Cool, I am waddling there on thurs for a scan, and friday for diabetes clinic. Tell me what dept she works at and I will leave a suspicious looking rucksack near the entrance, she'll have at least 3 hours off work. Morrisons is next door, tell her their cream tea for two is only adequately sized for one.

I'm not too worried about this whole crisis. My job is safe. However it's kinda scary that I personally know 4 people who have been made redundant in the past two months. One of them was an engineer.

Don't be sad FJ, being paid off is better than getting laid off with nothing, besides, you are enthusiastic, young, talented, it may be the push you need. Best it happens now rather than later down the line when the job market is saturated by unemployed. And worse comes to worse, you can always move in with mum, no? I don't have that luxury.
We are already feeling the pinch, I really want to take the kids to see the illuminations but I think I might save my money. When you haven't anyone to depend on and little people depend on you, it is scary.
:(
Still, sorry about the job. At least you hated it and the woman you worked next to! Give your boss one!

Good link, FJ, I seem to recall mine was much better than yours.

Since you are here, FJ, should I, Mrs Average Joe, be worried about the finance situation in our country? Only this morning, at the bank, the cashier was busy with a customer who wanted to withdraw 19k in 50's to take his amount deposited down to the 'safe' threshold, guaranteed by the Government.
This was Natwest. I assumed Natwest were ok as I don't think the amount they have lent out in total exceeds thier vaulted savings.
In simple terms, please, if you will, how will this whle credit crunch/depression affect me?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's all going to shit. The government are taking controlling interest in HBOS and RBOS today, which may or may not help. But even if it does, it's going to be a long road back to normality.
The main way it'll affect you is that all of your assets are no longer worth much. The best thing to do is sit tight, don't buy anything extravagant and save what you can.
I'm getting paid off :o(
out, I'd find out where he lives, and tear him a new belly button.
