But, you are also guilty of chastizing me for offering up my opinion. One of the draw backs of the writen word is that expression and feeling are harder to convey, or at least in a forum like this. My original post that started all this Otter bashing wasn't intended to insult you or anyone else on your side. It was intended to offer a counter opinion to your not liking what Gov. Palin's campaign manager said. IT WAS AN OPINION. I am allowed to have those if I remember correctly.
An be careful who you call closed-minded. I find the groups that refer to themselves as open-minded are typically more closed-minded than their opposition.
How about a few weeks ago when I mentioned how I was a "Conservative Christian White Hetrosexual Educated Truck Driving Fromer Marine Male"(or something to that effect)? I was told by one the "open-minded" liberals (Kaos_King I believe) that I was an idiot for having pride in any of those things, and, with the exception of my having been a Marine being the only redeeming quality, everthing about me was worthless. The poster prior to that used some lame insult to as to my intellect and called me stupid for not joining the Obama camp.
Andrew, I'm not telling you that you're wrong for being liberal, much like I wouldn't tell you you wrong for joining the Air Force (save for some good natured service rivalry ribbing), or being Christain or not. Personally, I don't care. I say New York City is full of assholes.

Actually it's a sad state that actors, musicians and athletes are held in such high regard. They're only entertainers. Granted, the world needs entertainers, but I've always been of the opinion that the leaders of a community, from small town America to the entire country, should be the people that we look up to.

(And I'm sure one of you is going to find some archaic refrence to where Sitting Tribe Screwer Upper was the son of the Tribe elder and took over the job as chief when his pop died, then in turn ran the tribe into the ground, over hunted the buffalo, and lost the whole kit and kaboodle to a rival tribe or the U. S. Army, scemantics). I feel our most respected people should be our leaders. Unfortunatly, that ain't happening anytime soon.

not only did schwarzenegger have no political experience, he's not native, is a terrible actor, and did gay porn, but he helped engineer the biggest, most expensive, most (in retrospect) pointless "recall" of a duly elected official in history. it was an embarrassment to california in front of the world. i know that because i live here and it was a circus. none of us could believe what it turned into.
if he were a democrat, like Alec Baldwin, holy fucking SHIT it would have been all you'd be talking about right now. But he's a republican. so it's not.

and btw, if nobody cared what actors thought/did/fucked/ate for breakfast, there would be no tabloid news, no movies, no television, no horribly written childrens' books. they probably have more influence on people's hairstyles than on their politics, in actuality. so it's pretty absurd you see them as such a threat when you seem to think what they're saying is so meaningless in general.

I never got any impression from you, low these four or five years I've known you, that you have a feeling of superiority over anyone. People who vote for the leader of America based on anything as vapid as their skin color, their gender, their religion or lack thereof, or their clothing, have-a-beer-withability or that kind of thing should have their ability to vote seriously questioned.
