"The death of one is a tragedy,"

I'm watching some lame Oscar winning movie and a father is handing his daughter to some army battalion in Europe in hopes that she'll be saved."

"...the death of millions is just a statistic."

All I can think of in this apparently emotional stage of this film is that this father is shit. Why did you decide to be the last family staying in a city being invaded by Germany? If you really gave a shit about your family you should have left with everyone else. At the least you would have sent them off and defended your home like a man but even that would have been dumb.

A building isn't a home, a family makes a home. Sometimes running makes you a man.

This is what being weeks away from being a father makes you think like.

I will admit that watching this war hero movie did make we want to enlist in a way. I'd never do that because my son should have a dad but I honestly know that I'm worth more dead than alive. What if I can't afford to take care of him? What If I a sucky dad? Maybe he'd be better off with a lump-sum payment of my life?..

A lot of people say that having a kid makes you realize the most important thing in your life. I've never had anything important before. Until now... Having a child is finally making something important in my life, besides her.

Now I understand that this is dramatic but I've already seen one of my children die. I had to take her to the hospital after picking her put of a bathtub full of blood while she clutched a paper towel of crimson clumps. We both knew it wasn't actually him but I had to watch her scream, "Please God don't take my son."

Actually, It probably was him, there were fingers in that clump, but seriously who wants to be the doctor to admit that?

I'll just reiterate, what the fuck are these films that taught me to be a dad, a father. They should make a movie out of my Father just because of him I'm scared shitless just like I should be.

"The death of one is a tragedy,"

I love you Liam.

"The death of millions is just a statistic."

He'll always be a million tragedies to me.

I thought briefly about fathering a child, but I have since decided to instead offer my services as a dog-walker.

being a parent...losing a child seems like the worst thing that could possibly happen to me.

my wife miscarried a few months back and that's the closest I've gotten or ever want to get to.

DO YOU PEOPLE EVEN READ? NOT his ultrasound pic and anyway, it would be the mothers name on the data, generally you don't name the baby until AFTER the birth. Sheesh.

Fair enough. But I think my point still stands, though. Stupid mothers make for stupid babies.

From your comments about defending your home it's clear that you're already a member of Puss Nation, and now you're whelping. I'm convinced that your kid will be the most helmetted, padded, protected, not-allowed-to-do-anything-that-might-hurt-him kids ever to go through childhood without so much as a skinned knee.

Didn't forget to rate. You post contains ideas, so it's "worth reading" even if the ideas are not to my taste.

Just assume that everything I write is true with a few murders thrown in to make it fake. I don't write non-fiction. I write fiction with elaboration.

This was a generic ultrasound from the internet so don't assume the data means anything.
