The Beatles VS. The Rolling Stones.

Listen, there's really not much of an argument from me when the question is "Which is the more important band?" The Beatles came up with some incredibly groundbreaking stuff. Go back and listen to 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts' Club Band' and now try to wrap your head around the fact that the album was made in the late 1960's. Lennon, McCartney, Star & Harrison had soul, man. Not only are their songs iconic, these Liverpool fuckers were trying to change the world.

But... nobody fucks to The Beatles.

Oh granted, some stupid hippies may play 'While My Guitar Is Gently Weeping' at their weeding, and 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road?' is a bit raunchy, but ultimately The Beatles stuff is all LaDeDa. It lacks the dirty, nasty appeal of tunes like 'Gimme Shelter' or 'Sympathy For The Devil.' While Lennon was composing ballads to that cunt Yoko, 'ol Mick was signing 'Brown Sugar.' Seriously... are you gonna 'Let It Be' or are you gonna 'Paint It Black?'

Look at it this way; while George Harrison was off in India getting high to expand his consciousness, Keith Richards was injecting every single thing in his medicine cabinet to see what would happen. Paul McCartney was bobbin' his head while Mick Jagger was hip thrusting 400 babies into existence. Ringo Star and Charlie Watts are both shitty drummers, but who cares. We tragically lost John Lennon far too early, but nobody's bother to inform Keith Richards that he died over a decade ago. (The bastard just won't fall down.) Unfortunately, Lennon's boys look like space aliens. Richards' girls, quizzically, are super models. McCartney's 1st wife died, his 2nd stole a bunch of his cash. Jagger banged everything remotely human... including David Bowie.

'Wild Horses' or 'Hey Jude?' I don't care. Both bands rule.

But while The Beatles are having scandalous bed-ins, The Rolling Stones are giving your mum an STD...

The Who and The Kinks wrote some exceptional stuff too.

Angie form the Stones is about Angie Bowie btw, yeah being Mick was fun.

The Beatles and the Stones weren't and won't be my Generation.

The Clash, The Who, The Kinks, The Jam, The Pistols, The Exploited, The Stranglers, The Specials, The Ramones, The Buzzcocks, Jacques Brel, Leonhard Cohen, Gilbert Becaud, The Selector, Dylan, Zevon, Cash, Willy Nelson, Springsteen, Slade, Pink Floyd, The Sweet, T-Rex, CCR, Madness, Satie, Bowie, Bacharach, Thin Lizzy, Splodgenessabounds, The Gnome.

Talking about music is like dancing to architecture.

The Rolling Stones are probably a good live act to see, but the Beatles wrote actual musical masterpieces. They weren't just a rock band, they were genuinely gifted. Therein lies the difference.
-----------------------

I love both, but to say the Stones didn't write any 'masterpieces' is crazy.
Gimme Shelter is exraordinary, a really dirty fuck to this sound way ahead of it's time.
Paint it Black is iconic and just oozes raw cool.

I wouldn't call Alexandra and Theodora Richards "supermodels", but they're definitely hotties. They take after their mother, obv.

I love the Rolling Stones. They were the first concert I ever went to. My dad took me to see the Atlanta show of the Steel Wheels tour in 1989, when I was 11. Awesome show.

Have you ever thought that maybe Wildman just doesn't like most of your posts? He left a one sentence review. Do you really think that was a legitimate attempt at trying to get attention on Uber? There are much more effective ways to do that than to "stalk" some random douche. You sound completely paranoid.

Ahh yes, the old and tired -2 on my post from Wildman.

You're such a lil' piece of shit. You're nothing; a no one, a loser. And that's a LOT here on Uber.

I swear, do you think you can ACTUALLY play with the BigBoys on this site? Have you actually convinced yourself that anyone cares about your opinions? You're not Method, Apollo, Shlongy... you're not Oathy or Sico. Are you honestly trying to somehow make a presence for yourself on this site? Because, well... sorry lil' champ; you're a failure.

You wanna make a sound, make a name? Don't be like Doodles and go after Bubba. OHHH, look... he's -2'ed another Kaos post. SHOCKING! I barely make waves here, what good does THAT do you. Ohhh, but you're so Rough 'n Stuff! WILD-MAN! You're a little, scared child who doesn't WANT to tackle anyone bigger than some fiction writer from Ohio - it's that simple. You simply don't have the balls.

So when you grow up and become a man, and you decide to throw some weight at Method, Muddy, Hadley or one of those guys, maybe I'll consider you something other than a pathetic bloody cunt. But here's the thing: I know you never will. So keep on riding MY coat-tails into some type of fame, or whatever stalker bullshit you've put together in your head. Jesus fuck, I know nobody ELSE gives a damn...

I was just having the same conversation this past weekend.

Both bands are hugely influential, and I never quite understood the competition. While you're more likely to find me listening to The Beatles while I'm alone, you're more likely to find me listening to the Stones with others. I refuse to choose.
