Well, it's the THird Ubersite Poetry ExtrAvganza, and I have to say; before Thursday I used to fantasize about things like love and truth and beauty; but this contest has made me realize I know nothing about any of those things.
Here's a breakdown of round 1:
Monkeyswithguns, Scourge, Lungfish, Skullbiter, and Captain Thorns all advance due to forfeit.
Ghola wins in a barnburner but Shadow moves on. Snagglepuss beats Offspring in a close one.
Kaos-King, Orgasmatron, and Mudwhistle all move on.
FJ beats Assholy in the other tight match of round one.
Sacrilicious gets a perfect score to advance, but beeltea still moves on.
JoeyG, last years finalist, doesn't post.
Here are your round two brackets; as said before, You have until next Sunday to write your poems. Happy Holidays!

If everybody is okay with it, and since there were so many forfeits in round two, I can put Saccy up against JoeyG (who both forfeited but expressed interest in still playing) for the "highest loser bracket" for round three. Deadline would be tomorrow, 11:59 EST. Let me know.

I kind of lost track and forgot tonight was deadline. I had the party of the year last night, and I've been in recovery all day. I started to write a piece I've been wanting to for a while, but I realize I can't do it justice right now and it's past deadline.
Can't believe I forfeited an UPA.
