I make my moss-soft bed
In silentslender woods.
Amongst fine feathers, arms of fern,
I rest my weary head
And love the last before that gentle turn;
The feltfloor like emerald velvet,
Source for slenderstalks and whisperpetals-
Fresh fragile petals, pink at perimeter
And a fuzzy yellow center;
They sway lazily to the rivers rhythm
As thoughts scatter like light through a prism-
Lulled by the cooing-cooling currents,
Gurgles and swirls whirl this dreamy drowse;
An eerie mist, fans of fog, drift lazily by
Suspended in the shallow sky, a rose-silver sky
Splitting and oozing pastels, coloring water in exact dye-
Mirroring my world in liquidblue shimmer;
As unseen birds begin their morning chant
The remnant moon, dissolves... dimmer,
And the silkymist silently sails... scant.
I taste the cedars cream,
The suckles sap; I breathe the cool
Moldy air, damp-and-still it covers in sheets;
The sun- mottled, moving- in spots a gleam,
It closes the eye- makes shadows and pleats.
I am one with this painted world,
Secure-secluded, silent and dream-drawn.
In overwhelming peace I kneel and kiss
The dew from the flowers of dawn.
This forest, this quietcool and peace
Pillows my weight; I am curled
In the dark hollow deep-dell womb
With moss surrounding, moist and warm-
It is here that I shall forever sleep,
Here that I shall forever sleep.

well first, let me say I really enjoyed your poem.
Secondly,
If everybody is okay with it, and since there were so many forfeits in round two, I can put Saccy up against JoeyG (who both forfeited but expressed interest in still playing) for the "highest loser bracket" for round three. Deadline would be tomorrow, 11:59 EST. Let me know.
